RWBY Tickle Headcanons
A repost because I lost them again somewhere in the depths of Tumblr.
Ruby: Since she’s so young, the other members of team RWBY find her generally adorable, and her status as leader of the group certainly doesn’t save her from any tickle attacks. Her and Yang are always getting into tickle fights, sometimes just to alleviate boredom, or as an extension of sparring-ring rivalry. She’s pretty ticklish everywhere; her skin is very sensitive to touch, and her team members think it’s hilarious to slide fingers down her forearm or across her knee and watch her yelp. When she laughs, it’s always happy and free, filling up the room with her sounds of joy—one of the reasons her teammates tickle her so much. Tickle fights are less frequent with the other members of team RWBY, but they definitely happen. They have to watch out though—if Ruby gains the upper hand, she’ll use her semblance to totally annihilate her opponent.
Weiss: My personal favourite character—she’s very ticklish, but you wouldn’t know it by the way she carries herself. She thinks tickling is completely childish, and that being made to laugh like that is totally undignified (she doesn’t necessarily find that to be a bad thing). Her stomach is her worst spot for sure, but if anyone gets ahold of her feet, they may find she uses her glyphs to escape. Raspberries are a weakness of hers that only Winter knows about, from when they were much younger and Winter would decide that her little sister was getting a little too stuck-up. Ruby was, unsurprisingly, the first to tickle Weiss, not really expecting a reaction, but when Weiss flipped out, Ruby wasted no time in exploiting her newfound power. Her laughter is totally adorable, bubbly and childish. Weiss is somewhat shy about her laugh which only makes the others, especially Ruby, who is of the opinion that everyone should laugh freely and often, want to tickle her more. To begin with, she wasn’t much good in a fight, having had no experience in fending off or retaliating. Several team RWBY tickle fights later, she was able to dish it out just as well as take it.
Blake: Blake isn’t as ticklish as Weiss or Ruby, and not so much in the traditional places, but if you know what you’re looking for, she’ll go down pretty easily. Blake’s family was always very tactile, so she never really viewed tickling as a bad thing, or as something to fight off (she had never experienced Yang’s full tickling force). Her back is pretty ticklish, especially up near her neck, so if someone manages to get behind her, she’ll pretty much crumble. Her laughter is always pretty soft and understated, although it does get higher in pitch as the tickling worsens. Yang discovered Blake’s ticklishness in the middle of a sparring session, and ever since then she’s never left Blake alone, using it against her at every opportunity. Despite her weakness, Blake usually comes out on top in team RWBY tickle fights, mostly because none of the others know her weak spot, and because she sometimes cheats with her semblance to pin her teammates. One-on-one with Yang, however, and Blake usually loses—Yang’s big-sister ticking skills are too much for her to overcome. When she tickles the others, she’s very gentle, afraid of hurting them, but wanting to see them happy and laughing, so she mostly scribbles her long nails over their stomachs or necks to make them giggle.
Yang: The official big sister of the group, and a complete tickle monster. She had often tickled Ruby when they were younger, and felt no need to discontinue the tradition when they went to Beacon. She somewhat adopted Weiss under her wing as well, taking on the big sister role that Weiss was lacking when she was away from Winter, and when Ruby discovered that Weiss was ticklish, Yang was the second to take advantage, especially when Weiss seemed to be having a bad day or problems with her father. She’s pretty playful with Blake as well, despite the girl having no siblings to speak of, they’re all sisters in a way, and Yang makes a point of doing this to all her sisters. Yang, luckily for her, isn’t overly ticklish, just a few spots on her ribs (and that really bad spot on her hips that nobody knows about) (Weiss totally knows). Her laughter is loud and boisterous, filled with little snorts that Blake coos over to try and embarrass her. She almost always wins team-wide tickle fights, because she knows everyone else’s weak spot (and Weiss is often too indisposed to make use of her secret knowledge). The person she had the least tickle fights with is Weiss, mostly because unless she’s completely sure that she has Weiss pinned down, she doesn’t want to risk Weiss getting at her death spot.
Pyrrha: Oddly not very ticklish, except for a little bit on her neck (and her feet but shhhh). She’s often too busy actually fighting to engage in play-fighting, but if Nora prods her enough, she’ll bite. Since she’s amazing at combat, she always manages to get Nora pinned and totally tickle the snot out of her. She loves Nora, and she’d never hurt her or take it too far, but she loves making Nora laugh and smile like the little kid she’s so reminiscent of. It makes Pyrrha laugh to see Nora all squirmy and giggly, so she definitely gets something out of it. There was one time that Nora pinned her down and got her pretty good, but she’ll deny it as long as she lives (still crying over that episode btw).
Nora: Sooooooo ticklish. Like. You would not believe. And she loves it. If something makes her laugh and be happy, she’s all over it. Especially if it makes other people happy too, and Pyrrha always laughs along with her. It’s part of the reason she jabs at Pyrrha until she jokingly snaps and jumps on her, because she knows it’s stress relief for Pyrrha too. She sees Pyrrha working so hard to maintain her image, so Nora made it her mission to get Pyrrha to let loose every once in a while. She squeals a lot when she’s tickled, but she could honestly hold out for hours—she really loves it.
