I’m rather lazy so while I work on some refs and other art for here. Have some little tid bits about them. If you have any questions or anything like that about them, feel free to ask!

Kura Tid Bits:

Usually uses his dark form (which sounds edgy but I’m uncreative) as a mask/something to hide behind when he’s feeling insecure. It’s a safety blanket so that he doesn’t have to look at himself, he feels encompassed by it and that equals safety.

He’s come to terms with a lot of stuff and is working on being a better person (he’s still a bit of a prick though)

His and Ryo’s relationship is extremely odd and hard to explain. They have an understanding and they exist together in the same household, it’s slow progress to an actual friendship.

Kura and Yugi are piercing buddies because Atem refuses to pierce anything other than his ear lobes. Yugi and Kura have gotten close after everything that happened.

Pyrophobia is something Kura definitely has. But it’s not intense, he just doesn’t like it. He also hates looking in mirrors, yet still gets upset when he can’t remember what he looks like.

His favorite food in this is a croissant. No reason. It’s just funny.

When in a comfortable situation, Kura can be extremely loud and chaotic and honestly just his assholeish self

Kura likes bright, 80s and retro style clothing. He’s very drawn to the vibrancy and he thinks that it’s an interesting look on him. His favorite color is yellow and pink.

After a rather important moment (that’ll end up being a comic), Atem and Kura set aside the past and basically started over. Now they’re extremely close, almost like brothers. They also very much share one braincell

Yugi Tid Bits:

Yugi is a self proclaimed Game Designer Extrodinaire. He works at a gaming company and helps create strategy and such for the games. He also dabbles in voice acting.

He’s rather lively, extremely animated when he talks and carries around a notebook to scribble down ideas for projects he works on. He also talks to himself a lot but that’s filling in for when he used to talk to Atem (coughs at spirit in body years)

Yugi has a lot of piercings. Most famously he has two snake bite piercings on his bottom lip. He did it out of impulse and dragged Kura with him to go get it.

Yugi and Atem are not in a romantic relationship, but they currently live together and Yugi is the only one with a job. Atem does house work and other things.

Due to always having the puzzle around his neck, Yugi now wears a weighted triangle necklace around his neck almost everyday.

Since he almost died every single day of his life for a few years, Yugi has learned to take chances and risks more often then not. He’s grown very chaotic over the years.

He has two cats named Cheeseburger and Burrito Bean Cheese

Atem Tid Bits:

Contrary to Yugi, due to all the excitement in the past, Atem now lives a calmer more laid back life. He doesn’t take as many risks or make impulsive decisions. Very chilled out now.

Atem grows sunflowers in his vegetable garden in the backyard. He’s gotten quite handy with his newly discovered green thumb and often buys new plants every time he comes back from the store.

The tattoo on Atem’s back symbolizes he and Yugi meeting. The upside down triangle is him, the right side up one is Yugi and the black diamond it makes is their partnership. It’s extremely symbolic, he didn’t want to make it too obvious. Yugi has a matching one on his shoulder.

Atem is terrified of the blender. He hates it. He refuses to go near it and stays on the other side of the house whenever Yugi makes milk shakes or smoothies

Atem wakes up at sunrise every single day. His body physically is incapable of sleeping past that time.

He wears a newer, nicer looking cartouche around his neck along with two golden bracelets around his wrists. He’s mostly drawn to gold jewelry.

Atem really enjoys thrift shopping and finding old things to fix them up in his spare time.

Thoughts....Thoughts..

Today there are a number of things rotating through my mind and I will start with the epiphany I recieved writing this sentence:       Social media intensifies anxiety, and floods your mind with extra inapplicable thoughts.

Now that that’s out of the way.. This morning I was doing some work for this dinner and of course every time I touch the internet I fall into multiple wormholes. However, one thing I really wanted to talk about was how important it is to know other peoples stories if you’re going to share space with them. Everyone knows energy and at least understands the basic concept. But what about the factors that fuel an individuals energy? What you receive on the surface is always a result, and each person reacts accordingly. This past year I spent a lot of time getting to know people and discovering little bits about what makes them tic, which is especially important with artists when you’re trying to understand their work. I don’t claim to know everything about anyone and especially those I’ve encountered this year just that I have a little more understanding. For me, this is especially beneficial so I don’t waste time and efforts in certain departments that just won’t receive me. It’s the wasted efforts that stir up those feelings of betrayal and doubt, but when you already have an idea you know it’s no sleep lost but rather a crap shoot and “eh, at least I gave it a shot”. I’ve made it a point; though, going into 2019 to only reciprocate energy, so that I may reserve more for myself so I can stay focused on my goals. I feel like over the past 10 years easily i’ve been geared towards a similar concept but never as clear. The interesting part is that it’s such a simple one when you say it. Everyone’s heard the “work in silence” “focus on yourself” etc, I mean we all grew up pretty much with forms of those being passed down by elders. But they never truly explain and I believe that the way the mind and emotion play off of each other is so complex that when those mantras are stated, it’s crucial to follow it up and not just say “you’ll understand when you’re older”. Cause i’m older and I definitely think this discovery could have come much sooner. The ability to relate is everything, I mean it’s literally why we have bonds, its what a bond is, so how do you simplify that? You don’t.  An individuals mind fires on all cylinders, when you say “everything is going to be alright” you leave open a whole world of alternative options. When you say “breath deep” you’re so often never even heard. People need to be able to compare and contrast, they need to know that the countering thoughts and emotions they have are in fact all already answered. You can’t do that if you know nothing about the ones you’re surrounded with or partnered with. Now that’s not to say that everyone in this world even cares about that because there are some very selfish people and that’s their business but this is more directed towards the ones who are looking to make a difference find themselves stuck or distracted or discouraged. Take the time to consider. If you put yourself in the room, in the shoes, you can better understand where your attributes fit in. To work in silence is to listen.

roman is naturally flirty and friendly, often dropping pet names into conversations even with strangers. it's not uncommon in the uk but roman is fully aware in other places it can seem over friendly or flirtatious, and loves it.

although romantically inclined, roman himself tends to lean away from people who seek genuine romantic connection. if he feels threatened by his feelings for someone, he stops using pet names with them, and can come off spiteful or cold.

most people assume Roman's maker is dead, or that there's some ambiguity to it

Roman however knows for a fact his Maker is still alive, as through their Sire bond he regularly feels bursts of pain and distress from his Maker- trapped in a silver trunk in the canals of Italy- a unconscious call for help from his progeny

it makes Roman smile every time he feels it

much of the time when people think he's weird sitting smiling to himself seemingly at nothing at all, that's what it is
