Auror AU

Harry is an auror training officer in the Ministry of Magic after surviving the second war and defeating Voldemort. While, Hermione was in a different house (Ravenclaw) than Harry and decided to pursue education after she completed Hogwarts, but decided to chance course after finishing her graduate degree. Hermione wanted make a different and become an Auror.

Jaded after the war, many of the rookies that Harry trained ended up dropping out. His former partner Ginny got mixed up in trouble that she left them in the middle of the night 1-2 years ago and he or her family had not seen her sense. Which caused his best friend Ron to quit being an Auror. Harry has cut off emotions when it comes to life, and his job and it has left him feeling empty.

While, Hermione is trying to go against what her parents want. Which is to get a doctorate, so they don’t support her new career choice. Luckily for her, the other rookies she is joining with are a source of support (characters of your choice) and friendship.

With Hermione as his rookie, can Harry finally open up and find peace, possibly love?

Harry never met Ron on the train, and the result of that was that he was sorted into Slytherin around students he could tell mostly didn't like him or his beliefs. Hermione was sorted into Ravenclaw, Ron into Gryffindor, and Neville into Hufflepuff. Something brings them all together, and into an unlikely alliance, and friendship.

When Harry and Hermione were talking about their lack of relationships after Ron left then in the Forest of Dean, Hermione mentioned that he had Ginny and that him playing martyr to keep her safe was just him being stupid. The Death Eaters and Voldemort would still target her because she was on the light side, and because they wouldn’t care about her being an ex. If he stayed with her that at least she could stay secure in their relationship, and they can come back together easier. Which made Harry wonder why it was so easy to let her go? It was easy of him to let go of Cho as well, and the only woman in his life that he hasn’t let go of is Hermione. Which makes him wonder why that is.

When Dumbledore left Harry at the Dursley’s he never realized how bad he messed up. So, when Harry in his first year found the Mirror of Erised and he told Harry that the mirror showed “neither truth nor knowledge”, that is when Harry corrected him and said that wasn’t true because he never seen his parents before the mirror, was when Dumbledore realized he messed up.

This is the point of divergence, and where the author goes is up to them with Harmony(+) of course.

I would love to see a Harmony fanfiction (or + if the writer prefers) where Molly and Arthur don’t steal from Harry’s vault, but Harry takes from his own vault and leaves it in places where only Molly and Arthur would find to help them out. Since, he knows that if he offers they will just say no, that he is a child and shouldn’t try to take care of them. Which is align with canon as we know how generous he is. We see so much of the stealing happening, that I think it would be interesting to see the opposite happening.

After the events in fifth year, it was revealed to Hermione that she couldn’t have children. So, when Harry and Hermione start to fall for each other, Harry has to show her know that they don’t need children to make a family, they can do that all on their own.

Harry wasn't sure he would survive the final battle, and when Ron left Hermione and him in the forest he told Hermione such. He didn't want to leave without family, without a child. However, Ginny and he was over, and he doesn't believe he will ever have a chance to do so. Of course, he discounts that Hermione is his best friend who will do anything for him.

After the events of GOF, Sirius decides to take charge of his godson and get them both the help that they need for them to defeat Voldemort. However, that means pulling them out of Hogwarts, which naturally means communication with his friends is not as frequent as any of them want. How will Harry, Ron, & Hermione deal with their friendship, and the eventual growing feelings that happen between Harry and Hermione?
