So I have a wheel of crossovers I'll spin a couple times, every once in awhile when I'm feeling stagnated in terms of writing for a particular thing I'm on, it's like a brain boost, nearly 500 entries, good for getting brain wheels unstuck when I'm flounderin', right?
I put Among Us in there as a joke. It's esentially in there as a "space" option, and also because imagining Crewmates dicking around in a different franchises world is hilarious to me.
Sometimes, and this can happen with other crossover stuff too, it just seems to happen with Among Us the most, SOMETIMES
I'll get the fucking ball rolling.
Now I already had a Pokemon/Among Us crossover that I've been workin' on for some time. But then I got to thinking.
Nuzlockes. I LOVE Nuzlockes. We have so many romhacks on the back burner tbp at some point it's not even funny. There's a spreadsheet. Hundreds of games. Hundreds to be nuzlocked.
The theming of the Among Us x Pokemon AU is more focused on life, people and living and first contact and stuff than death. The inciting incident is, of course, related to an imposter killing a cremate, but that AU is more a reflection on the self and what rhat means and coexisting in a universe, themed around learning to understand and (I think the right word is?) empathize with others, while also being content with yourself. Can't focus so much on death, because, well, Pokemon don't die! So I took a different approach.
But with a Nuzlocke AU? Two games that revolve around trying not to die, No, trying not to be killed??? Hehehehehe.
Oooh I wonder what the setting would be. For the reg Among/Poke crossover I had the 'player' flying to different planets for a diversification of Mons and settings and stuff. It's a space game, right? Space travel seems all but required...
Unless you're stranded. >:) Oh I think I'm gonna keep going with this.
