I post unedited and unfiltered,against my comfortability today because I want to let everyone know that just because you're a 'model' (plus or not) doesn't mean that you don't go through what a lot of women (and men) go through when it comes to self-doubt and depreciation. Last week was mental hell for me because I spent it beating myself up and crying over shit I can't control when it comes to my body. I try to practice what I preach with self-love and self- acceptance but it was harder than most weeks. It took a while for me to pick myself up (and with the help of wonderful girlfriend) to realize that my body has been throughly so much and I should be proud of that. I should love it unconditionally. I'm fortunate not to have gone through anything major but it has gone through a lot. It has gone through,to name a few, a scary blood-clot incident from a new birth control I took that left a major blemish down my leg ...a chemistry class burn down the right side of my entire right leg....As well as countless heavy duty injuries and major growth spurts. With all that and more,my body is still fighting and strengthening but most importantly,I'm still smiling. I'm proud of its strength, tenacity and willpower to be better. I share this today to remind you AND myself that every BODY is beautiful. Every BODY is unique. Every BODY is a story to be told. thank you to all who support me and have encouraging words. I do see it. And I thank you as well for supporting others in their journey.
