• Save. Save save save as much as you can. Buy only whats neccesary and then use your savings for a treat. I have a monthly self-treat system. I save and then at the end of the month I'll get something I want. If you can't save, give the money to a trusted friend or mentor to keep and ask for it when needed. My dance teacher does this for one of my classmates and it works wonders.

• Help with housework, if you can. That way you are cooperating, relieving some stress from your parents, and you feel useful in the process! Do the dishes, mow the lawn, sweep, do laundry, anything at all. Even a small thing a day. It's good

• I don't know if this is a thing were you live. But here in ARG. it is: sell from a catalog. Subscribe to be a second-hand vendor. • Try and create a co-saving system with a friend, sibling, cousin, whatever. Destine some money to a joint savings thing of sorts. So then we had it for outings together, as backup if we ran out of our own personal savings, for school supplies. This year we used it to buy presents for our family members for Christmas. They were delighted and so were we.

• Enjoy small things. Yes. As cliché as it sounds. For example, my mom loves birds. So my dad and I installed a bird drinking station in our backyard.
