Since summer had settled throughout the land and the weather had warmed considerably, more and more people were spending their time outside, perhaps picnicking with their families, engaging in outdoor sports, or just relaxing in the sun. Shangxiang was one of those who definitely enjoyed hanging outside and ventured outdoors often, which made her feel more free and independent to contrast her controlled life within the palace. This time, she'd gone off without her bodyguards or ladies-in-waiting, taking her favorite horse out for a ride and touring the countryside. She didn't want to attract a lot of attention today, and parading around the city would mean just the very opposite of what she wanted, so she headed away from the bustling urban life to the more rural areas, wandering aimlessly as she soaked in the fresh air of the day.
Suddenly her horse halted and stomped at the ground, snorting and shaking its head at something in front of it. Peering over the steed's ears, the princess spotted a blindfolded girl donning crimson clothing standing on the road, seeming to be a civilian of Wu. Pulling her horse's reins so that it would back off, she turned it to the side so that she could get a better look at the woman, her jade eyes blinking with surprise.
"Oh, I'm sorry miss! My horse gets easily agitated when things are blocking its path." She dipped her head, although with that blindfold over her eyes, Shangxiang was sure the woman couldn't see the gesture. "Can I help you with something, or are you just passing?"
When all was said and done it didn't look like Lü Bu lost in Chang An, He didn't get the castle but a mess was made. It wasn't him, It was someone else more sinister and twisted that they would be the real victors in sight, And yet He didn't know. He only went and focused everything on one spot, The areas and the innocent around it were refugees, deceased, and now they saw carnage. All from an enemy he didn't see.
