the only danger to my safety would be falling down a flight of stairs. which at some point was pretty likely to happen but it didn't.

Not sure if it helps, but my dad worked for the California Air Resources Board as an engineer. It's a government thing, and pmuch deals with air quality and stuff?

That's something I can probably consider. I'm not too clear with that in particular, but it does sound more like something for a ChemE. MEs usually focus on either energy or machine/product design from what I gather from the career fair. But it's a pretty open field since dynamacists are needed for things like braces too, so. *shrugs* (But never going to go into dynamics, my gosh. It's my least favorite thing about the major so far. Everything else is pretty okay, though.)

Thank you, dearest. ; u; *smooshes* I do too! I technically still have plenty of time since I'm a Sophomore in my major and most companies want at least a Junior standing before they'll accept you as an intern. And if I can't find one, I'll look into joining a professor's research on campus so I can at least have hands-on experience for when I apply to grad school or a job. 8)

Derek is tense underneath his palm, crouched down low, eyes blue and tracking Scott, then glancing up at Stiles, Stiles' hand, then back to Scott, then the jeep, and then Scott again. He keeps flexing his hands, claws in, claws out. From the way he's clenching his jaw, Stiles can probably guess that he's trying to hold back his teeth or something. Leave it to Derek to be out of his fucking mind and still not want to hurt anyone.

Stiles has no idea how they ever got him pinned for murder. But then again, the lack of his leather jacket does make him look less hell's angel and more home improvement network.

"I can't find anything except the shell." Scott says, frowning, eyes flicking between red and brown. "We can take him to Deaton's, but I don't know what he can do if we don't have anything to show him."

"Joy." Stiles says, letting his hand drop from Derek's shoulder, "Alright, dude. Either you stand up and walk like a human being or you lope around like a weirdo. And I want you to know if you choose the latter option I'm going to mock you for it. Later. Obviously."

Derek cocks his head, tensing when Stiles takes a step towards the jeep. 

"Should I run ahead?" Scott asks -

"Sure, might as well give Deaton a heads up. Not like he answers his phone. Whatever it's for. I mean who even answers phones anymore, am I right, Derek?" Stiles turns back to see that Derek is a few steps behind him, still in a half-crouch but slowly straightening up. He takes a few steps back when Stiles turns to him.  "Scott, you think you could. I dunno. Use your wolfy powers to calm him down or something? Because at this rate we might actually take a few hours to get him into the jeep. Jeez. It's like dealing with a stray cat."

"Did you just call Derek a cat?"

"You've got to admit, only cats are capable of giving people a look of that level of annoyed disdain."
