tiimetaught replied to your post “Only her father and teachers still call her Gabrielle or Gabby. Her...”
"Hey, I like Gabby..."
“Well, I don’t. Gabby’s a dumb name. I like Shadow way better.”

The thief jolted at the words, ears pinning back and the gause she was using to wrap her forearm falling to the floor, her eyes wide.
Well, that was unexpected.
Who knew close calls could bring this out in people, especially family. But…Cassandra cared about her too? That was what was unexpected. She understood the worry for Donnie but adding her name to the list was not what she saw coming.
For a second, Valerie was uncharacteristically quiet, blinking a few times before silently reaching down to pick up the fallen roll of bandages. She was quiet for a few more seconds before-
“…me too, huh? Wasn’t expecting that, Miss Cassandra…”
Cassandra stepped closer so she could gently take the roll of bandages from Valerie, and proceeded to finish wrapping the raccoon's arm. It was a mild burn- nothing too serious, perhaps nothing that would even leave a scar...but still. It was enough to make Cassandra uneasy.
“Yes, you too,” Cassandra said with a sigh. She’d never really had any ill will towards Valerie the way her sons seemed to- at the very least, they were suspicious towards her. But Cassandra thought it would be good for Donnie to have another friend outside of the family, and so she’d been far more welcoming.
That is, until the damn fool had gotten herself hurt. Cassandra couldn’t stand to see kids like this girl and her son get hurt- she’d promised herself that she’d do everything in her power to prevent them from going anything like what she went through at their age.
“Which is why,” Cassandra said, voice a lot less frustrated a lot more tired, “you need to be more careful. Got it?”
Racing down to the lair after school had to be one of Shadow's favorite things, light up sneakers flashing against the tunnel walls until she reached the turnstiles of the abandoned subway station to squeeze herself underneath. But today, as she took a deep breath in so she could shout her arrival, she spotted an unfamiliar figure by the couch. The girl shut her mouth with an audible click of her teeth, glancing around to make certain she was in the right place. Arcade games, Raph's weird training dummy, an old pizza box (or six), and a sticky trail of dried ice cream from the escapades of the family cat? Yep, definitely the lair. So she turned an inquisitive dark blue gaze back to the stranger. "...who're you?" @tiimetaught

“Punks…”
The little insult the hedgehog let slip would probably be considered a severe understatement by anyone younger than forty. Both he and Rouge were bruised and bloody after a run in with not three, not four, but five mobian-like figures that were twice their size. Thank Chaos that they’d trained so rigorously under the Doctor, or they’d be dead right now.
A shadow fell across them, sending both their heart rates through the roof as they jumped into defensive positions. Their anticipation quickly died down, however, upon seeing a striped tail in the moonlight.
“You two need to be taller.”
