Throw back thursday, Tiki Style… Back before I started Tiki King, back before I knew there was a Tiki “Scene”, I used to carve weird little idols, just for fun. I used to hide them around my moms house when I would visit...This was back in the early 80’s. ( the ones on the red velvet I carved around 1984). I started collecting tiki mugs in the late 80’s, early 90’s because they were weird, cheap, and available by the dozens at thrift stores. One night, a friend took me to Trad’r Sams in San Francisco, and suddenly it all had context.
