HOME-COOKING // Japanese Omurice-inspired using Tilda’s super-convenient Basmati (white and wholegrain) rice packs [ #gifted ]. Ready in two minutes by microwave or three minutes by stir-frying, talk about efficient as the rice cooker normally takes at least 20 minutes to cook rice. Stir-fried the basmati rice with chopped onions and the strained leftover (fibre from celery, carrot, onions, canned tomatoes, tomato purée & lobster stock) from making lobster bisque. The residue is packed full of flavour and too much of a waste to be thrown out. Got inspired watching the Munchies by Vice video on YouTube where Chef Shintaro Eleazar Okuda of Bar Moga in NYC makes Omurice and used the omelette recipe (3 whole eggs, 1 tablespoon milk and 1 tablespoon) on Vice. Took two attempts for it to more gooey like the omurice omelette. Tip: @tildarice @tildariceau Basmati Rice packs are currently on sale at @colessupermarkets until 15 December. #gifted #tildarice #tildariceau #basmati #basmatirice #instantrice #omurice #omelette #lobsterbisquerice #homecooking #nodoodwastage #perthfoodreview #PFRcooks (at Perth, Western Australia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIlDPd1jDYB/?igshid=15mm9y56f8xlz
