I'm hoping to eventually get back into working on an old rpg maker 2003 game of mine, so I've started collecting RPG Maker Assets again. Itch Io has a plentiful supply of game assets, and I wanted to share what I've gathered together so far. :)
I’m currently in the middle of learning how to do Tilesets for game design, and I am once again on my bullshit. The difference this time is that instead of just making a static picture, I’m now learning how to make Tilesets, which means that I can pop these bad boys into Unity and paint entire scenes from Ramshackle in Isometric.
Maybe this will finally give me the gusto to fuckin’ learn how to configure an isometric game in Unity. Oh my god it’s so hard. It’s so hard, guys. Game design is so difficult. But I keep going back to learn more of it because I’m a glutton for punishment.
The tileset continues. With the additions of stairs, ramps and doorways the inks are now done. Colour fills soon, then back to the props! -------------- Fitzhywels Fantastical Paraphernalia! Maps, Game Aids, Props and tokens. Physical/PDFs on DrivethruRPG Digital on Roll20 Or hire me to make yours!
For anyone having trouble laying out autotiles. The first four columns are the base and the last four are layers. If you were to put fence tiles in the first four you would end up with holes in the map.
I made a bunch of assets for a game I don’t even know if I’ll make. Yes they’re formatted for RPG Maker, please don’t judge me. They’re all obviously unfinished, but it's for an idea my brother and I had for a horror game about a clone who’s born aware of the fact that he’s a clone. And his name is Theta.
