Do Chucky and Till end up having kids?

@yellowandanxious4eva and I love any opportunity to make fankids so we have decided that they do!

Meet Sandi, Zachary, and Glenn! These three are triplets, born from a clutch of octopus eggs laid not too long after Chucky and Till married. They sure do give their parents (and everyone around them) a run for their money with their very different personalities, which are as follows:

Sandra “Sandi” Dorothy Dompler - The independent little rebel of the family, she has a mind of her own and never hesitates to follow her own whims. She causes a lot of mischief whether that’s running away from her parents or picking fights with her brothers (as shown here) but it’s mostly in good fun.

Zachary Charles Dompler - The middle triplet, he’s inquisitive but also can be sort of haughty in a way. He likes to explore and ask questions but does so kind of bluntly (ex: asked his grandma “why are you in a wheelchair are you lazy” when he was like 3). He acts like the moral authority of his siblings and can be arrogant in their bickering, but is also a momma’s boy who’s protective of his family.

Glenn Limber Dompler - Basically Chucky on steroids, he’s VERY clingy and sensitive. He has six limbs with suction cups, so when he latches on, good luck getting him off! He’s a big daddy’s boy so Chucky gets to experience what he put his Mama through.

does dottie worry for her son once shes older all he seems to do is hang round her does he have any friends that arent old

She doesn't have to worry anymore!

But yes she did worry about him quite a lot. Dottie herself was always an independent soul with fulfilling friendships and a vibrant love life. Even as a child she didn't depend on her parents for her every emotional need, although she loved them and misses them dearly in her later years. But Chucky clung to her like she was his only friend. He never played with other children or developed his own interests. She tried her best to get him out more and hoped he was just going through a shy phase, but that introverted little boy grew into a man who never stepped outside of his comfort zone. Chucky learned to cook and clean but not for the sake of independence; all of it was so he could take care of his Mama as she aged.

And his social life suffered for it. He couldn't keep friends or lovers because he couldn't bear to spend too much time away from home, plus people didn't stick around when he rarely had anything to contribute to the conversation. It was honestly embarrassing for Dottie because a lot of men with his personality have mothers who think they can do no wrong and enable their every mistake. She knew every time he mentioned his Mama to a potential date that they probably thought of her as one of those dreaded "boy moms." But she wanted him to grow up and fly the coop as much as they did.

Once Dottie put herself into the nursing home things did actually get a little better as it turned out Chucky was much better at socializing with old people, plus she had a little more space from him. But she still worried that he wasn't connecting with people his own age. If he only socializes with people 30+ years older than him, what will he do when they all eventually die? What will he do when Dottie dies? She didn't want to think of what Chucky would do without her and that scared her the most. He would be all alone. He wasn't even truly happy now. He had never been.

After this point Chucky started working on himself and socializing more, spending more time with Till and even making friends outside of them. He used to play Dungeons and Dragons with the old folks and now he was building worlds with his own friends, and going to all these conventions and other events he would have never ventured to before. It made Dottie feel good seeing her baby actually happy for once. It was all she ever wanted for him. Plus she had her own independence back lol

It was especially reassuring when Till sat Dottie down before their wedding and reassured her that they would always take care of Chucky. To see that he had someone in his life who loved him this much and to know that he wouldn't be alone without her. Dottie did live for a good while longer after that point (up to her mid 90s!) but now she could live out her remaining years without worry, just enjoying the family that Chucky was creating.

Critter biology is quite varied. Some critters refer to their infant selves as “tadpoles,” others call themselves “homunculi,” and still others are born in what we would call the traditional way. Not every critter experiences the same reproduction cycle and that includes Till!

I joked about the horrors of octopus reproduction before but it’s honestly not too far off from Till’s experience. With some important differences ofc

Here we have Till patiently waiting for her little babies to hatch! Instead of a traditional pregnancy, she laid three tiny octopus eggs that had to incubate in water for some time. Non-sapient octopus mothers quite literally starve themselves to death to ensure their eggs are well-protected, and while Till obviously didn’t die, she did often forget to eat and sleep as she stayed up worrying over the babies. Chucky put his own caretaking skills to good use during this time to ensure she stayed fed and rested, and made sure to send frequent updates about the eggs while she was at work. Till’s own mother was the same way while waiting for her to hatch so it really is driven by instinct. There was little time to sleep anyway once the little hell-raisers did hatch lol so this was something of a preview

Also Chucky did not have to, ahem, lose any appendages in this process, that’s the other big difference between regular octopi and octopus critters
