"Y-You're all that I have.."
"And I will not be leaving anytime soon."
"You p-promised.."
"I know I did, chérie. I am very sorry."

Double Life || Tillie and Cedric || Closed
"Cedric, where are you going now?"
"Dad's office. I forgot something." Cedric replied quickly, putting on his coat hastily to hide the "unruly street clothes", as his mother put it, he had on. His mother watched him out of the corner of her eye, a large portion of her attention focused on her embroidery. "Hurry back then. Dinner will be soon." she told him casually. "Yes'm." was called over Cedric's shoulder before the door slammed, leaving the gent to be free of his mother's watch.
A lawyer for a father, a successful one by all means, and an accountant for a mother. Two wealthy people would definitely lead to a wealthy household. And yet, despite having everything he wanted, Cedric was by no means content with his life. He was much more fascinated with "commoner" life, life of the lower classes. Whether it be in the ghetto or in the slums, Cedric was more comfortable spending his time with them than his parent's wealthy cohorts.
And yet, he still didn't want to be fully shunned away from his wealthy family, which probably was the reason for his hiding of his second life, a much simpler and minimal lifestyle. It didn't bother him much though--as long as he got to be who he wanted to be, he was just fine with it.
After taking off from his home, Cedric headed down towards a nearby park on foot, looking around and watching as groups of people went by. He had his head turned and gazed fixed on a distant group of dog walkers when he saw someone out of the corner of his eye. Turning his head abruptly, he caught the gaze of a little girl, his body relaxing a little when he registered her presence. "Oh, hello there." he greeted her. "Can I help you with something? Are you lost?"
//Can I have an au where Cedric pretends to be poor and meets a little gamin kid and befriends him/her but then the little kid finds out Cedric's rich and starts doubting their friendship?
