cosette's birth marked her a libra ; quixotic , indulgent , fluctuating . she was welcomed with warm arms by her doting parents ; claudette & iven desrosiers ━━━ renowned duo ( think sonny and cher , the civil wars ) & immaculate image of pure love . as their first and only child , cosette was never short of affection .
as cosette grew , it became evident that nothing is as picture perfect as it may seem . although entirely engrossed in each other , her parents’ relationship was wildly tempestuous ━━━ a love so cavernous it can never be wholly satisfied thus is only ever destined to ultimately crash & burn ; it's simply a matter of when .
despite the ups and downs of her parents marriage , cosette has ever remained a hopeless romantic . every minor aspect of her life has been relentlessly romanticised & scrutinised through rose - tinted glasses . she definitely lives in her own dream world ; as if she were a character in her own movie . it leaves her wildly vulnerable , yet unattainable at the same time .
with musicians for parents , her own passion for music was somewhat inescapable . touring with them as a child ignited the very flame that had flourished within them when they were just starting out as naive nineteen year olds . she definitely acknowledges that her career has rocketed off of their backs , and has always been very grateful for it . she uses the stage name ' cosie ' ( her vc is clairo so ... seemed fitting hehe ) .
personality - wise , she’s kinda ... rly pretentious sdjfjf i guess you could say there's an air of falseness about her ; as if she's trying to mask herself to a degree . she's got a public image as being rather dainty & holds a persona of ' butter wouldn't melt ' , but of course there's more beneath the surface >:)
she's kind of struggled with the fame she's obtained over the years now that's it's all actually HERS to grasp . she's always erred on the side of being a lone wolf , and although she's successful at putting on an act she finds most social situations rather draining . she's always been the type to prefer to watch from the sidelines , though now she's got the thirst for glory who's to say that won't all change ?
