Tim Boetsch stops Johny Hendricks in 2nd!
Rocks Hendricks hard with a head kick, drops him on a right hand, and then grabs Hendricks' head and unleashes those uppercuts that end the fight. Violence from Boetsch!
Omari Akhmedov takes UD over Tim Boetsch
Not much to report here. Akhmedov knew that the only place Boetsch could beat him was in the clinch so he just kind of refused to let Boetsch initiate it. Some solid circling mixed with some good kickboxing keep Boetsch at bay and earns Akhmedov the win. Happy to hear Boetsch was contemplating retirement before this fight cause he looked like he was ready to be done by 3rd. Just didn’t have that old spark. I think he’s physically spent at this point.
Antonio Carlos Jr is moving SO stiff right now
Landing a bunch but still. Dude is making Tim Boetsch look like Deion Sanders

Tim Boetsch Crushes Johny Hendricks In Second Round With Head-Kick
In our co-main event of the evening, former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks takes on middleweight veteran Tim Boetsch. Hendricks missed weight yesterday morning and weighted in at 188 pounds. Here’s how it went down:
Round 1:
Boetsch opens things up with a few body kicks and lands a nice right hand after catching a kick from Hendricks. Hendricks lands a nice couple of left hands inside…

Tim Boetsch KOs Rafael Natal in the 1st round.
Back to back 1st round KOs for the FS1 prelim portion of the card as Boetsch just stalks Natal down and lands the right hand that puts his lights out. Sucks that Sapo loses in front of his home town crowd but Boetsch was always gonna be a tough ass fight for him.
Boetsch becomes the real middleweight champion and now we need him to fight Sam Alvey.
Tim Boetsch hot damn!
Rather than begin negatively, let's show some love to Boetsch first. Tim Boetsch is just one of those fixtures at 185 lbs that you need; he tests prospects, challenges veterans on the slide and is capable of bringing violence every time. In a division full of gatekeeper types, he's the most violent-ist of the gatekeeper types. Boetsh is always violent, scary so and when he gets his offense going he can really bully some dudes. I'm surprised we didn't get any redneck judo from Boetsch either but I'll take what I can get.
Being negative now? I have this feeling that fighters who tend to be nice with the media (Samman/Theodorou jump off the page) tend to get a lot of leeway for their flaws. I saw a lot of people picking Samman even though he's so raw and really only relies on his athleticism (and subpar takedown defense). When he came out to clinch with Boetsch,a much stronger fighter, you could sense that trouble was coming. Boetsh loses at space and when he's overly aggressive and Samman taking the lead was just giving Boestch all of the opportunities.
