A woman testifying in the Wyoming legislature misgendered the Republican chair of the committee, who’s a cisgender man. When he complained about being misgendered, she pointed out that state Republicans passed a bill just last week saying that no one can be forced to use the correct gender pronouns for anyone else.
Britt Boril of Casper, Wyoming, was testifying before the Wyoming Senate Judiciary Committee this past Thursday on a bill to curtail trans people’s rights. And she started her testimony by referring to state Sen. Tim French (R) as “Madam Chairman.”
