Grip of the Strangler (The Haunted Strangler) (1958) Robert Day
March 9th 2024
This Invisible Man show isn't accurate to the book at all, but I do really appreciate the black-and-white Invisible Man series starring Tim Turner.
It's like...what if Griffin was a good guy and did cool missions and had a niece. What a wholesome storyline. What a great TV show.
Tim Turner Invisible Man my beloved...
Boris Karloff flexes his horror talents with THE HAUNTED STRANGLER (1958) from director Robert Day!
Planned as the top half (but released as the bottom) of the double feature with FIEND WITHOUT A FACE, this old fashioned flick takes inspiration from Jack the Ripper, Jekyll and Hyde, and others. The film stars Boris Karloff, Jean Kent, Elizabeth Allan, Anthony Dawson, Tim Turner and Vera Day.

Call the Midwife: Timothy Turner.
Final chapter!
I know some are you are sad that Julie and Tim’s story is coming to an end, but we all know how it continues. I posted the first OOTB chapter in May and every Saturday, I have posted another chapter. I think it will hit me next Saturday more than today. Am I done with my Unexpected universe? Who knows. It will never leave me because to me it is real. I really didn’t want to write about losing Patrick and the years and ages of the children get a bit muddled in the middle, so I chose to end it when I did. I also didn’t want to invent a new drama for Tim and Jules to keep the story going. Julie has had enough in her life. In case anyone was wondering when Julie gave birth the first time, in my head she would have acted a bit like Miranda would if she and Gary had a baby.
Thank you to those of you who have faithful supported this story.
@weshallc your input is invaluable. You gave me the idea that Julie should push Tim when I wasn’t sure about their premarital activities (Quack) and so much more feedback and assistance. The whole car bit was probably my most memorable exchange.
@fourteen-teacups I have loved your comments and encouragement.
@bbcshipper I know you will miss them. Thank you for loving them too.
@snoopctm for always reblogging and commenting
@turnt4turnadette for reblogging and supporting my writing for years
@thatgrinchygal for always commenting on FF.net I know your were late joining the Unexpected family, but am glad you did.
@clonethemidwife for always commenting on ff.net and making me laugh.
To everyone else that has been enjoying this story quietly. Thank you again.
Enjoy your final chapter....
We’ve seen more of Tim in this episode than we have on the whole of Season Seven.
Character ask: Timothy Turner?
Thanks @gunnyeyborg!!! I saw your comment and was trying to figure out how to make it into an ask right when you sent this! :D
First impression
Omg, look at this tiny sassy child. Of course the hot doctor has an adorable son. That’s fine. Poor kid, his dad gave his dinner to a crazy lady. It was kind of him, but poor TimTim just wanted food, lol.
Impression now
Timothy is still a wonderful, sassy monster, but he’s also written WAY too goodie-goodie. I wish he would have more moments of being the sassy teen he is inside, but I love him. Also he is an A+ big brother.
Favorite moment
B.A.S.S.O.O.N.
Idea for a story
I need to see Tim actually make a teenage mistake. Nothing drastic, because I don’t think that’s who he is, but I think he needs a moment of breaking away from his fam a bit more. Give me a Timothy who lies about his whereabouts once so he can take a girl to the movies. Again, nothing crazy, but let him be a 16 year old boy!
Unpopular opinion
Are there unpopular Tim opinions?
Favorite relationship
SHIMOTHY. Not only are Tim and Shelagh a great example of healthy step-parent/child relationships, but their relationship is also complex. There’s endless love, but Timothy also sasses her in a way that he doesn’t really with Patrick and I think it’s a combo of her entering his life a little later and evidence of a trust between them that isn’t always in a biological relationship. I think they’re very aware that they chose each other and that means so much to both of them.
Favorite headcanon
I think this is borderline canon at this point, but TimTim totally uses his baby siblings to impress girls. He loves them to pieces and is objectively an amazing big brother, but he also is very aware of how cute they are and how many more girls talk to him when they’re with him.
