Thanksgiving really made my blogging game a little weak, so I’ll try to keep it a little more updated this week (but you know me). Starting off the week, I have “Travelling Song” by Timber Bones, a five-piece from Queensland, Australia. What stood out about this track is its catchy rhythm and easy-going folk rock sound. I love spritely feel of the song -- it even has a little bit of Minneapolis-band Hippo Campus in it. These two bands just meld indie rock with some folk roots and it creates this fantastic earthy indie rock sound.

The next time I hit the dusty road for a great adventure, I’ll make sure to bring along Timber Bones’ endearing new single, Travelling Song. The Australian indie rock five piece wrote the song about “festival romance”, something many of us music heads likely have some experience in. Travelling Song is a weathered and earthy but peppy and sweet folk rock song from a blooming band that has been compared to both Half Moon Run and Tame Impala. It drops as a single on December 13th. For some of Timber Bones’ more psych and blues imbued rock songs, stream their videos for Hunt and Walking Through The Fire below. I wouldn’t be surprised if we end up hearing a lot of adoring praise for this band in 2016.

One hot summer under the shade of a Queenslander indie-rock 5-piece Timber Bones fans of artist such as Band of Skulls, Half Moon Run, Delicate Steve and Tame Impala, jammed out their first record together “Travelling Song,” written in celebration of one of Australia’s newest pass-times- “the festival romance.”
The bouncy, folk-rock tune takes inspiration from the likes of Mumford and Sons, Fleet…

Timber Bones ~ Walking Through The Fire
Indie rock quintet Timber Bones released their debut single “Walking Through The Fire” a couple of days ago. This electrifying song is like Wild Cub meets Michael Jackson. There’s a pretty sweet groove on the track that makes you tap your feet and bob your head. The beat isn’t too fast but the chorus and keyboard really add a little something to the track that makes you want to dance the night away.

I've had the amazing pleasure of making 100+ new friends recently and through them even more friends. And this guy right here is one of those incredible people I've just met. I just wanted to share this here because he is straight up talented and amazeballs and his EP will be out later this year and you should all love him. He's like a one man Mumford and Sons.
