will Timberfoot's friend or the kits join him in the dark forest? like maybe for the kits to grow

Maybe one day, but I'm leaning more towards no for now

While yes they would be with Timberfoot (a huge win) and the kits would get to grow up and experience a life they never got to have, there's also the fact that the Dark Forest is a very dangerous place (and also very murky, muddy, and unpleasant in general on top of being deadly)

Acornlight already suffered a painful death that lasted roughly two moons, she's not about to put herself--and especially not her babies--in a position where they could die again, this time without a (known) afterlife

And if you join the Dark Forest, you will not be accepted back. She and the kits will enjoy the paradise of StarClan for a while before they will consider risking that.

But they do visit Timberfoot! They meet up at the border and catch up. The first time Timberfoot was able to see Acorn and the kits, all 'alive,' healthy, and happy, took a huge weight off of his heart. He got to talk to her like he used to, got to see the kits move around and explore the world in a way they never could have in life, he got to see Littlekit bouncing around with an energy she never had (in life she always slept pitifully, only waking to drink or cry). He got to hold the kits in his paw and feel their warm breaths, got to share laughs with his friend again.

Before, when they died, everything in his world was gone and nothing mattered anymore. So seeing them again--even if they didn't join him--made things worth it again.

when I submit ferretfrost and shrikeshade finally, they should be in a polycule with timberfoot and cricketclaw

I'm picturing the PetalTalonFish scene from The Exiled where they're like "you could have one bf....but what about three?" and Timberfoot gets too flustered to respond
