I’m pretty annoyed that I’m being more or less forced out, or feeling like I have to leave, because all things considered, I really like this job. I’m very close to a lot of the residents and I’ll be sad to leave them and I’m very bad a goodbyes. And I hate that some power-tripping bitch, who shouldn’t have even gotten the job in the first place, is ruining the dining room and making it so disorganized and she won’t even let the people who have been there for more than a year give her some advice about WHY IT’S NOT FUCKING WORKING.

And, I don’t really know what to do. I don’t want to leave, but I do want to leave, and I’m also very stressed out because of it. I could try to wait her out, but that’s going to be even more stressful because the more things she changes the more disorganized it gets and since she doesn’t actually do anything, it’s using doing all the grunt work who are affected by and have to deal with it. I also have a feeling that the GM likes her and it might be a long while before she gets fired, if she does get fired.

@Time: I may have expressed interest in the course, because it seemed like it would’ve been an interesting course to take - but like, I really don’t have the time to have to drive my mother around to it. I mean, I wouldn’t mind if she was on the way, but it’s so out of the way for me and the class doesn’t get out until 930pm and the school is about 10 minutes away from my house, but having to drive her home and then come all the way back means I won’t get home until like 1030 - which is shitty because I have to get up at 5am for work. And with all the traffic I have to deal with to get to her house to pick her up and then drive all the way back the way I just came means I literally get off work and have to spend an hour and a half driving, go to the course for three hours, drive another 40 minutes, and go to bed.

But yeah, I thought the course might be fun but I’m really regretting registering now.

@ Time: Because I have a corner lot and they decided that's where they should put a public mailbox because they don't want to spend money paying postal worker to go door to do. @ramaea: Technically, they're allowed. They've been doing it all over the country. And they've just been doing it without homeowners permission.

@Time: unfortunately. They've even won more seats than they did in 2011.

@Time: well, unlike my last job I had, which by the way still has the exact same soundtrack it has had for two years, it doesn't bother me most of the time. It's all classical music - and not the random hits of the 80s and 90s with every single terrible contemporary song of this decade. And luckily I only really notice it in the mornings when I'm by myself, and also luckily, I can turn it off in the room I'm in. I just find it weird that I keep hearing Ode to Joy.

@ Time: she smoked when she was preggers with at least my younger brother and probably me as well, and she used to smoke in the house when I was growing up, and in the car before there were all these fancy laws - so, shows you how little regard she gives to that. And she still has no problem lighting up in the car.

@ Time. I actually really like my job. It's my goddamn coworkers who make it so fucking awful.

@Time: it makes zero sense to me because the reason whh the current manager is leaving and the reason why our supervisor didn't step up for the position is because it's way too many hours for them, and they're both full-time. This girl literally can only work 14 hours a week - how the hell is she going to be manager? God. Now I wish I applied for it. I do not want to be bossed around by this chick.
