*sheds tear* it’s a pure ship, it really is. Like, Rip is time dad, and Ray is literally time mum packing them lunches. And you know that means that Ray and Gideon team up and are like ‘Rip, you need to eat! No, you can’t just have alcohol, you need real food, yes you do!’

And this reminds me that Ray found Rip’s hidden stash of sugary cereals, he did that!

RIP LITERALLY WOULD NEVER?? like idk if you noticed but whenever hes on the bridge ray is always either right by his side or across him looking him in the eye and its just such a steady presence to rip by now that one morning he'll be like "dr palmer, what do you think of using the time drive's power to track mallus in--" and the fact ray isn't there? to immediately answer and discuss with him???? rip notices IMMEDIATELY... the silence... the lack of an eager conversational partner...

I never did notice that ray is always right there beside him. Ahhhhh!!

But what I did notice was in S3 when Rip came back, Ray was just so happy to see him? Like screw what the other Legends thought, Ray loves Rip!

And Rip went back for Ray (and Sara and Kendra and two years too late, but still!)

speaking of rays gluten sensitivity though, given rips apparent baking expertise he can make him a stupid birthday cake and ray WILL have to turn away to hide how wet his eyes have gotten

Exactly!! Ray is about to say something about his allergies and Rip is like, “nope, got it covered.”

And Ray is teary-eyed because someone actually acknowledges it and he’s so in love with Rip.

ray would be the type to shower little bits of positivity here and there like a simple "morning handsome!" and rip would go "mm, morning" and then double take and be like "er, handsome?" and that's the kind of soft treatment of rip hunter that i crave

Yessss!! And Rip would just blink. Handsome? Him? And he’d just be so confused and all soft and blushing!

So soft! So sweet!

Oh, and also, Rip actually remembers Ray has gluten allergies and his fur allergies and everything!
