My thoughts on this Eminem thing:
This song came out in 2010, 11 years ago. It isn't as if he came out with it just now. Don't like it, don't listen.
I realize others may hear this song even if you don't listen. This song doesn't perpetuate the idea that you should like people/houses on fire, just like any other rap doesn't perpetuate the idea off shooting people realistically.
Songs and other forms of artistic expression are to express feelings, weather that feeling is horny, angry, pride, whatever. This dude has been an angry fucker his whole career.
Pollock wasn't advocating for the canning industry with his painting of a can of tomato soup. He was just high af. Eminem is angry and expressed that with an angry af song.
That being said, good job to those who were yelling to cancel Eminem (rather than just one song lol) because it just made people remember this dude. He was out of sight and out of mind for some people (myself included) and this whole thing just boosted his sales.
I almost exclusively use streaming through Amazon but I went out of my way to download a few more of his songs the other day, though not Tone Deaf. While funny, and a cool video, I'm not gonna but it on iTunes to listen to offline.
