Loving your seer!Luche verse. Question/prompt about her/tredd. Luche loves to cuddle up to tredd and steal his body heat. Does the coolness feel good to tredd's skin too? Also, if Luche blatantly snuggles up to him, does his blush make him burn even hotter than normal? Just. If she walks up, lifts his arm and tucks herself into his side and peppers kisses on his cheeks will tredd become the human torch?
At first Tredd manages to convince himself that he's doing this for her. That Luche is in dire need of warmth and physical contact and Tredd is more than willing to provide both.
He doesn't think to linger on how nice the cold of her hands feel on his skin. Tredd doesn't think of how soft and sweet she becomes when sleep claims her and she unknowingly wraps herself around him, desperate for the warmth he radiates.
He doesn't think of how nice it is when his blessing becomes more like a curse and he burns too bright and too harsh Luche comes up to him and cradles his face in her too cold palms. Centering him, bringing him back to reality.
Tredd doesn't think of any of that.
He doesn't think of how Luche smells like leather and the brisk chill of winter. He doesn't think of how it feels nice to have her in his arms and how badly he wants to keep her there. To keep her safe.
He can't keep her safe. So it's useless to think of the list of things he wants from her.
It's useless to think of how badly he wants to wake up with her form splayed across his chest. It's useless to think of how relaxed she looks when she sleeps.
It's useless to want anything more from her.
(But he does. He wants. He wants so desperately it aches.
He wants Luche beside him. He wants her healthy and whole and smiling. He wants her free.
He can't give her the last one, but he can try for the first three.)
