Dr. Reveck hosted a party today. Some sort of spring festival, I think? I do not care for parties. Dr. Reveck does not care for me, either, so he does not invite me to them. It all works out in the end. I am untroubled while I do my work unless someone (for some reason) comes looking for me, and at the end of the day there is still a bounty of food left on the tables. But today I couldn’t bring myself to wait before eating, and the scraps in the servants’ quarters have been wiped down in preparation for the thrall. And since I do not keep food in my room (crumbs in my projects, bad idea), I had to go downstairs. There were many, many people. It was loud and chaotic and people were kissing over the wine for some reason. In public! Piltover is strange. But there was a girl. About my age, blonde, very fair. She talked to everyone with such a lovely voice. And--by gods--she talked to me!! Me! No one here talks to me! She didn’t even assume me to be a Shimmer addict or a spy!She talked to me!!!I let myself be distracted from the food for a few minutes while I listened to her tell stories of the other parties she goes to. It seems like all parties in Piltover are about the same. But--but!--she said that she had never met anyone so charming until this one.(She called me charming! Me!)Ah, I wish I had asked her name...
