Wanda felt the pain wash over her body once again as she was picked up, causing her to let out a weak scream. She had been trying her best to keep up defences on the field when she had been hit, the blade going through her back and out through her stomach. As the enemy had pulled their weapon back, she had crumpled to the ground, the taste of blood already in her mouth. By the time that Stephen had picked her up, she was drifting in and out of consciousness, her gaze just barely meeting his.
"You... should have... left me..."

{☆} “Will you STOP squirming so I can apply the salve?” Her tone isn’t unkind, her fingers just barely moving to summon the ornate wooden chest from her bedroom. Clea sighed softly, rummaging through the box before pulling out a small crystal vial. The scent of herbs and flowers filled the room, even before she opens the vial.
“It’s an old remedy from HOME. I used to heal the Mhuruuks all the time.”
She’s quiet for a moment, dipping her petite fingers in the lavender salve, lightly applying it to his wound. “My UNCLE’s regime has left a lot of broken people behind. A lot of bloodshed. Too many DEATHS.” Carefully, she massaged her fingers against the wound before pressing a cloth to his skin.
“Which is WHY I need to return home and face him, Stephen. I need to save my people. You’ve TRAINED me well--I need...I made a PROMISE to them.” No matter her feelings, however new and confusing they were. She needed to protect them.
@timecursed asked: " yeah, i'm drinking again. "
{☆} A FROWN mars her features as she moves around him, delicately plucking the bottle from the table. Worry bristled her veins and she didn’t hide her DISPLEASURE. “Why?” She simply questioned, studying the label of the bottle before setting it down as if it was something unpleasant. Not that she abstained from a glass of wine here or there--or even overindulging once or twice with her GIRLFRIENDS (and Marc).
But it was the idea that it was being used for MEDICINAL purposes that had her concerned.
“I came HOME for our date weekend--not to hold your hair back from your BRILLIANT head while you puke,” Clea hummed, arching a pale brow, sitting down beside him. Though her tone was slightly chastising, her hand still wound down his arm, curling her fingers around his. She tilted her head to the side, regarding him with guarded eyes. “What is troubling you, my BELOVED?”

Infiltrating any organization was one of her specialties and she had to admit that she was a little surprised when Stephen asked for her help but hearing that innocent people were involved, she didn't hesitate on joining him. Natasha was analyzing each of the known factions, pointing out one that seemed smaller than the rest. A seemingly perfect chance for her to get in and retrieve anything to bring that Mordo down.
She had pointed it out the sorcerer when she noticed that he was not responding, lifting her gaze up to find him staring at her instead. ❛ Perhaps but it's depending why you need to lie in the first place, Stephen. ❜ The trained Widow straightened her back and casually folded her arms over her chest, staring back at him with an raised eyebrow before slightly tilting her head to the side.
❛ So it's better to tell me the truth before I might need to torture you to get it out of you. ❜ Of course, she was just joking on that matter and only used such method on her enemies.
❜ i am complicated. ❜

Mura paused at Stephen before shooting him a sad, empathetic smile. They reached out and gingerly took his hand in their own and smoothed a thumb along the scarred skin there.
“Give yourself some credit, Stephen,” they said, “You’re complicated, sure, but that’s not a bad thing. Maybe I like you complicated. You’re certainly way more interesting than the other basic bitches out there.”
Unable to help theirself, Mura leaned up and pecked his jaw.
Noticing Trauma Sentence Starters: “You don’t need to tell me everything. I just want to know how I can help.”

Wanda looked up from the window she'd been staring out of when she heard Stephen talk. She'd been here for a few weeks now since she'd left the Raft, long enough that the physical scars were beginning to heal. She was lucky that she had an ex-Doctor here to coach her through that part. The mental part, less easy. She picked at her fingernails nervously and looked down at her hands. "You've done more than enough, I don't want to be a bother." She confessed.

Mura groaned and rolled their eyes, promptly pushing past through the front door of the Sanctum and pivoting on their heels to look back at him. They crossed their arms over their chest, unintentionally obscuring the old Queen t-shirt they had stolen from Stephen in the weeks prior.
“I’m serious,” they said, pausing before exhaling a huff, “I haven’t seen you at all for like three days.” They allowed their arms to drop to their sides and they averted their gaze. Ah, vulnerability— their beloathed.
“I’ve missed you,” said Mura, their voice perhaps a little softer than they had intended it to be.
