> Dirk: Break time.
[ You've given yourself a headache. A splitting one, at that. You swear you can feel it down to your spine. It takes you exactly fifteen minutes to tuck away the preliminary sketches and calculations you'd been working on in prep for working overtime, ultimately, on something you weren't prepared to put down until it was done. Nothing caffeine couldn't revitalize if you started to doze off later.
Dozing off is for now. Your head slumps against the cleared off desk in the guest room, your laptop shining its artificial blue light against the tips of your hair. You're not really asleep. Hell, when are you ever really asleep? But you trick yourself considerably easy enough into conscious wakefulness in personified dreams.
It always takes a few seconds to collect your bearings, waking up in a new, dozy environment. Specifically Dave's apartment, where you've gotten comfortable lately. Your lips press tight together and a screen pulls up in your shades, checking the analog clock to ensure it had been exactly half an hour since you'd promised. You're kind of a nutcase.
And you do NOT waste time taking hold of Dave's computer, pulling up a screen and turning it toward him without more than a smirk in showcase of your bountiful collection. ]
