♜ [Fire-based warriors and nerves probably do not mix well, and so I actually think part of the teachings of discipline among dragonkind revolve around how to contend with them. Anxiety is to be channeled into action when it can be, and dismissed as a distraction when it cannot. Volga, throughout his several-millennia-long lifetime, has gotten very good at this practice.]
[This is a damned good thing, because his nervous habits are very overtly destructive ones, and they'll still show up if his mindset isn't secure enough to dismiss whatever anxiety he's feeling. I think the most frequent one is scratching and clawing at things--himself included, in the worst of cases--without realizing or particularly caring.]
♜ [To preface, as a being with such a significant energy reserve, Volga needs less sleep than a human would. If he's not using an excessive amount of power he probably finds time to settle down for 4-6 hours every week or so. If he's been engaging in taxing or energy-sapping things, has been injured, or anything else that might deplete that reserve, he'll need to rest more frequently and for a longer period.]
[He doesn't like sleeping much, chiefly because he doesn't like dreaming (this has been covered a few times before, but his dreams are usually memories from past incarnations and are almost exclusively negative and he just doesn't have the time or energy to waste on that bullshit). He'll put it off for as long as he's able without impairing his ability to function as a Master of dragonkind should, and when he does crash he'll usually try to do so somewhere secluded and secure.]
[He will frequently make noise, talk, and move to varying degrees while sleeping. He is both aware of and very much not proud of this.]
[I got this one a couple times and this is a text wall already so I'll answer it shortly in another reply]
