Ugh.

Still an hour left to go, but I am blown away how out of character everyone is. Lucy is now the ultimate doormat. Flynn cleaning up Wyatt’s mess for Lucy, sacrificing himself in the process. KILLING JESSICA. GTFO. I really wish that conversation about “the affair” hadn’t happened because it was just added to give more evidence of why the other ship “is meant to be”. If that conversation had to happen, and two characters had to die for this ship to happen, then maybe it’s not as concrete as it seems. This is such a disconnect from Chinatown. Being forced such tripe is nauseating.

Just gonna erase this from my memory and focus on the happier times. 👇

So apparently Tumblr has a cap on the number of characters used in a response so I thought I’d just make it into a post. I have a lot to say, and I’m hoping it will be cathartic for me.

Everything that happened in season two seems to have been forgotten. Chinatown? Never happened. It was barely even addressed, even though our heroine sunk into her darkest depths and was going to kill the one person who caused all her misery. Lack of a bullet, and an interruption from Flynn, made this impossible. However, Flynn could have easily finished what Lucy started, but he didn’t. He chose to stay behind to comfort her, knowing that she needed him more than anything or anyone in that moment.

(sorry using stuff I already made because too lazy and unmotivated to make new ones, but I digress...)

So....let’s get to the finale, which is the same day as this? Or the next day? Time travel, right? Whatever...

So. Future Lyatt comes barging into the bunker, and hands Wyatt the journal??Am I watching this right? Lucy and Wyatt have to figure this out? Alrighty then...let’s not give it to the dude who is already familiar with it, I guess...

So flash forward...Lucy and Wyatt see the entry about Flynn and Lucy, blah blah blah..and for once in his life, Wyatt does not act jealous?? Want to talk about out of character...

Ok, so...fast forward to the oh so essential, extremely important Flynn and Lucy conversation that was talked about for so long by everyone...which totally fell flat. It was another plot device to further Lyatt. Let’s get one thing straight. Flynn, more than anyone, knows that the journal is unreliable, and can change at any given time. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that he would concede that Lucy’s heart always belonged to someone else? She even said “You don’t know what my type is” or whatever. And he would still just admit defeat? Flynn was always adamant about Lucy making her own choices. I cannot believe in this instance, he would make the choice for her.

ANYWAY. So as out of character as it is, Flynn does make the choice for her, and goes on this nonsensical suicidal mission. Even though he could have easily come back, but...I honestly have no idea? To see his family again even though he didn’t warn them about what would happen? I guess? 

So he writes this letter to Lucy. Which again is total dogshit. Someone please explain to me how he is more expendable than anyone on the team? I’d like to hear it. (I’ll get to this later). I think we can all agree, no matter the side you sit on, that Flynn is not a fan of Wyatt. At all. And after witnessing everything Wyatt put Lucy through during season two, there is still no way Flynn would be a fan of Wyatt. But in this stupid, contrived letter, he convinces Lucy that Wyatt was only trying to do the right thing, blah blah blah? SERIOUSLY. After only the day before they were fighting like bitches because of her? I mean...how out of character could you possibly get to force your ship?

Honestly. I only sat through this thing once, so sorry if my commentary is out of order. I heard that Rufus is essential to defeating RH, right? Which is why Flynn decided to go back, kill Jessica and sacrifice himself? (Again, even though there was really no reason for him to die, as far as I’m concerned). I may have drifted in and out after Flynn’s stupid death, so can anyone explain HOW Rufus was essential to RH’s defeat? Because I didn’t see it. Not saying I wanted Rufus to stay dead, but if Flynn is going to die for him, at least say WHY Flynn is more expendable? The one who has all the RH intel, who has been fighting since the beginning against them? They have an auto pilot time machine now, so what exactly did Rufus contribute? (asking this honestly because I was so disgusted, I seriously tuned out).

Now we get to Sao Paolo. Which after the abomination I just sat through, I thought may have redeemed it just a little. But nope. The whole time team tags along for reasons that are unexplained. Lucy manages to manipulate Flynn in a matter of seconds to do her bidding with nothing in return. He still dies so...…? 

In my opinion, there is not one redeemable moment in this movie. Everything from the very beginning, no matter how nonsensical it was, was to further Lyatt. They retconned Jessica’s whole personality from what we saw in Chinatown. Flynn became a totally different person overnight. What a coincidence that those two died (for idiotic reasons). How anyone can approve, I will never comprehend, because our beloved, strong willed, independent heroine became a doormat. A cold hearted one at that because she seemed to not give an ounce of pity to Flynn or Amy, who she was willing to let go so casually.
