Hey you mentioned spark eaters before for hindsight can you expand on that please

I would love to anon! The sparkeaters are like 1/3 of the big bad in timeline 5, which is my favorite timeline!

So, where do the sparkeaters come from, and how did they happen? In this storyline, they weren’t created by Brainstorm. They spawned from Unicron. As we’ve seen, his blood has the ability to reanimate the dead. But the chunk of dark energon that Megatron brought back in canon was specifically, quote, “plucked from cosmic shores”, and we know that Unicron has been in stasis as the core of the earth for nearly 5 billion years. The dark energon Megatron brought back was likely spilled during the original battles between Primus, the 13, and Unicron. It’s an unfathomably old sample. So, consider: Unicron has been alive but asleep for eons and eons. In all of that time, his blood has mutated, shifted and become different. But let’s stick a pin in that for just a moment.

In timeline 5, the Great War never comes to fruition. Cybertron gets it’s shit together—slavery abolished, the caste system torn down, government reformed, etc, etc—before civil unrest reaches a boiling point (that’ll be explained, dw). And without the war, there was never any Cybertronian occupation of earth. No one was around to stop Unicron from waking and rising again. He broke free of the earth’s shell, destroying it in the process, and for the first time in nearly 5 billion years he’s fully awake. Cybertron is so many light years away that it’ll take him awhile to get there, and he sends out pieces of himself to find, destroy, and gather the remnants of worlds that host Cybertronian life. The destruction of Primus and the race he created is his end goal.

Now, back to his mutated, changed blood. Out of nowhere one day Cybertron is swallowed in a massive storm, purple rain falling from the sky on every square inch of the planet. One of Unicron’s seeking pieces, a great storm of dark energon drawn to all of the sparks there. He can sense that it’s been found, and slowly starts traveling that way. The storm of dark energon wreaks horrific havoc on Cybertron; rather than reanimating the dead, his dark energon now has the power to mutate the living into the undead. Corrupting and destroying their minds, rapidly changing their bodies, transforming them into ravenous beasts with an insatiable hunger, and the only thing their bodies crave is the sparks of the living. All at once there’s a massive sparkeater apocalypse, millions of them springing up worldwide as the purple rain mutates anyone it touches. Even a single drop of exposure is enough to instantaneously warp someone into a sparkeater.

So, Unicron is 1/3 of the big bad, the sparkeaters are the second, and the third and final are the Avatars of Chaos. Driven crazy by dark energon radiation, the Avatars are essentially cultists that worship Unicron and, to an extent, the sparkeaters.

Sometimes, people get self aware that they are in a timeline. Mostly turn out bad, but sometimes they are good.

The bad ones learn how to code, and how to manipulate and change the timeline to how they want it to be like. This example is exactly what happened in Timeline 5 & Lovestruck Desire.

Rust, the Ink of the timeline. Went insane after wanting to make the timeline he was in enjoyable. He forced his own friends to go through so much, just for his own happiness. (His own timeline rebelled and kicked him out of the timeline, so now he’s an dangerous outcode)

Lovestruck Desire’s Blue, got self aware. He was nice, but sadly his good motives turn corrupt when he got infected with the Lovestruck Sickness. Which makes people insanely creepy and obsessive over love. He ends up being the dictator of all of this.

So let’s just say don’t be a bad self aware AR. :)
