*a whole ass portal opens up while he was in the middle of burying a body. A strange, demon-like creature steps out, not noticing Alastor. After looking around, that's when the entity spots him.*
Oh shit... WRONG TIMELINE!

Alastor stares at the portal and the demon, confused, then even more confused when they mention this being the wrong timeline.
Multiple Realities, Timeline Crossovers, and Timeline Jumps 🔍
There’s a certain kind of conversation about this idea of timeline jumping, multiple realities, living in the “wrong timeline,” or existing somewhere else entirely in a different version of your life.
And I understand why people reach for it. Personally, I’ve felt that way A LOT. Because sometimes life doesn’t feel linear. It doesn’t feel straightforward. It feels like you’re stuck, or split, or like part of you is somewhere else…back in the past, or already ahead in a future you haven’t quite stepped into yet.
But when I actually sit down with the cards - Queen of Wands, Death reversed, Ten of Swords reversed, The Chariot, Six of Cups reversed, and Four of Cups reversed, they don’t tell a story about hopping between different realities.
They tell a story about what happens when a timeline doesn’t close properly.
The Queen of Wands opens this whole thing, and she’s important. She tells you right off the bat that the self is not lost. There is awareness here. There is identity, direction, and a sense of “I know who I am” or at least “I know who I’m becoming.” So when something feels off, it’s not confusion. It’s just misalignment between who you are and what you’re still standing in.
That misalignment comes straight from Death reversed and the Ten of Swords reversed.
Something didn’t end right. Something that should have been released, finalized, and laid to rest is still lingering…emotionally, mentally, or even situationally. And when an ending drags like that, time doesn’t move forward the way that it’s supposed to.
It loops.
You revisit the same feelings, same thoughts, and the same “what ifs.” And after a while, it starts to feel like the past is still alive somewhere, like it’s still happening just out of reach. That’s where people start calling it another timeline, another reality, another version of their life still existing.
But the cards say otherwise. That it’s not another timeline. Rather it’s an unresolved one.
Now, at the same time, you have The Chariot sitting in the middle of this spread, and this is where things shift. Because no matter how long something has been delayed, resisted, or held onto, there comes a point where movement happens anyway.
And it doesn’t always feel gentle. It feels like a push, a correction, and/or a sudden sense that things are finally moving after being stuck for far too long. This is what people often describe as a “timeline jump,” but it’s not a clean leap into a different reality.
It’s pressure releasing. It’s everything that’s been held back finally moving forward all at once.
That’s why it can feel so abrupt. Like you went from one version of your life to another overnight. That shift was building the entire time underneath the surface.
Now when people ask about timelines crossing, like whether the past and present overlap, or whether you can return to something that once was, the Six of Cups reversed answers that clearly.
The past does not carry forward the way people hope it will. It can echo, revisit, you can think about it, dream about it, and even encounter pieces of it again. But it doesn’t root itself in your present in the same way. It doesn’t rebuild into what it once was.
So no, I don’t think we are stepping back into an old timeline and doing it differently this time. We are being shown it from a new position so we can finally release it.
This is where that feeling of “I’m not in the right timeline” really needs to be understood properly. It’s not that you’re in the wrong place. It’s that you’re in between places, you know?
Part of you has already shifted, grown, changed, and become something new. But there’s another part of you that’s still tied to what hasn’t fully ended. When those two states exist at the same time, it creates that disorienting feeling like your life doesn’t quite match you anymore. Like something is off. As if you’re living slightly out of sync with yourself.
That’s not a timeline error. It’s a transition. The only thing that resolves it is what we see in the Four of Cups reversed, which is engagement, awareness, and choice.
This is the moment where you stop looking backward, stop searching for something “out there” or “somewhere else,” and actually recognize what is in front of you now. The opportunity, the shift, and the path that’s already available but may have been ignored, resisted, or overlooked.
Despite all the talk about multiple realities, different dimensions, or lives existing in other years, these cards bring it back to something much simpler.
You are not moving between different physical timelines. You are moving between different states of awareness within your own life.
The past feels alive when it hasn’t been released. The future feels real when you’re ready for it.
And the so-called “timeline jump” happens the moment you stop holding onto one and finally step into the other. Not by disappearing into another reality. But by becoming fully present in the one you’re already in.
That’s the shift. And it doesn’t happen because you force it. It happens because, at some point, the version of you holding onto the past can’t carry it forward anymore.
Here's a thought... UF!sans and U!papyrus... What would happen?
UStream!Papyrus would probably be too shy/respectful of his own Sans to do anything at first, but then UStream!Sans would walk in with UFell!Papyrus, just chatting normally, and then BOOM; gang-bang.
Sans! What the hell happened between you and underfell you!? Come on?
UFell!Sans: No, please don’t…
UStream!Sans: *smirks* hehe, so apparently he was doing an experiment with a science-version of me and got sucked into a timeline crack. he ended up in my room while I was jerkin’ it, and, well… let’s just say I was thankful for his help~
