Let's just ignore how much of a force multiplier guns are to maniacs, in comparison to "stabbings". This is a straw man, to point out other violence instead of acknowledging the damage firearms do.
>Gun legislation does nothing for murder rate in Australia>Stabbings becoming more common as people are more vulnerable, gun crime still occurs. Guns may be a force multiplier, but they’re not even necessary against an unarmed populace. Various types of crime, including mass murder/spree killings occur with knives against unarmed victims. On the other end of the spectrum, the most deadly act of domestic terrorism in US history was perpetrated with fertilizer and cleaning solvent. The bottom line: Doesn’t matter if people get stabbed, shot, blown to pieces, all at once or one right after the other…They’re still dead, it’s still a crime, and it still matters. When the evidence shows that the legislation doesn't affect the crime rate, the laws should be repealed and the people should be allowed to protect themselves with the proper tools.
