Times of Change Require Change
Times have changed, we have changed, and as a result, these are enormously difficult times. The world isn’t what it used to be.
Social media has become a talking point for hundreds of thousands of people who struggle to accept what is happening and they choose to use their voice. I came across one particular tweet from someone well known, that brought home for me, just how vulnerable we are, when we talk about things.
My blog, The CP Diary talks about the facts based on the truth, which probably doesn't make me popular, but I like the minority would rather sit with truth and our conscience, than worry about what others think. Living with and dealing with a disability changes ones perspective. As is the way of the world, where others may have an opinion, we are not concerned because we know our worth. My words speak for me.
My personal experiences, impossible at times, have been made even more difficult in the last few years, through politicians making decisions for me that have left me unsafe, anxious and gasping. Even Brexit has left its mark on our daily lives. It is important for your mental health to talk about how you feel.
Still navigating life in a pandemic
In my personal day-to-day, life is difficult because I still have to deal with navigating my life in an ongoing pandemic, which everyone says is over, but in reality it's not true and it will come back to bite. No scientist has said it's gone, in fact they've already outlined what could be the next winter mutations.
My blog is based around what you may also be dealing with. Although we’re not able to change our past, or those making decisions for us, we are able to change how we feel and deal with the here and now, and our future. Being the underdog, I am very much on the side of the underdog. Through 12 years of blogging, my blog gives each of us a voice, so why not come along and get involved?
I have chosen to be enlightened because it is good for my emotional and mental health. Freeing myself from misinformation and ignorance, based on the full comprehension of what is being presented to me through my writing, means I can choose to work with what is correct and in order of what the universe expects from me, from all of us in fact.
But being enlightened isn't just open to me, it is open to all of us. Simply put, the more enlightened we all become, the more we have a chance to save ourselves and the world.
Incorporating positive change
So, with the Christmas season fast approaching, and with the year to reflect on, wouldn’t now be a good time in times that require us to change, to incorporate positive change, live a life of purpose? Choose to be a support, for others to support you.
