So last night, this thing started up on its own and (being that it was sitting on a desk a foot away from my bed) I woke in horror. Thought something was gonna try and git me. Sadly, yesterday was it's first day to be used in years and I learned that the batteries are bad. So now I have the pleasure of needing to order new batteries, break the sphere open, and replace the ticking-time-bomb batteries that are likely swollen.
