Fun fact: I dislike how the Spawn Cult was handled in Forsaken Second fun fact: this is because I live like a 30-minute drive from a cult (don't ask, no it's not as bad as the Spawn cult but it is still bad) and am friends with escapees from this cult.
SO HERE'S MY SPAWN CULT HEADCANONS since I'm trying to fix it a bit
The cult consists of a main commune that's essentially a gated community but like in the woods. And there's the big big chapel that is the heart of the commune.
The most extreme cultists (Two Time and Azure) + important cult figures (Amarah) live in the commune, however other cultists (especially newcomers) still live outside the commune! They just go visit for church and shared meals and the like. Most cultists live within a nearby region that's still considered part of the cult.
It acts as a normal religion at first. More extreme rituals (like idk Azure's sacrifice???) are kept very hush-hush and only known to cultists who are more committed to the Spawn's cause.
Everyone is very friendly, actually. That's how they draw you in. Two Time's slightly unhinged demeanor is a result of trauma, and even before that they were an extremist and an outlier.
Correcting my last Headcanon regarding Amarah's chronic fatigue, since now I'm realizing it's inconsistent with this: he has it and is aware of it but sees normal medicine as demonic and prideful, so he just kinda suffers. Doctors are a conspiracy.
Azure was born into the cult into a very extremist family and was kind of raised by all the adults even though his moms were still his guardians and stuff. Despite all of this, Azure always questioned the Spawn doctrines a bit, and mostly continued his faith because of Two Time and more loosely his moms. Two Time is a random orphan that Amarah found one day when they were very young. He saw Two's spawn tail, took it as a sign, and sees Two Time as a blessing from the Spawn and raised them himself.
Two Time would have been better off if Amarah had never found them. In this timeline, Azure might've escaped, and the two would've met and become an indie band I think.
