After having been gone through a very busy period that lasted two months that forced the Toushirou to stay out of contact with his smaller brothers for about two months, Yagen just felt the need to go interact with at least one of them. So when he bumped into Gokotai in the citadel, the older figure tantou proceeded to pat the shorter one a lot without saying anything for about a minute, before taking off his hand when he saw a most likely confused look in his sibling’s visible eye.
“Oh. Pardon me, Gokotai-chan... I just... its been a long while since I last made contact with you.”

“You needn’t worry too much, friend. I have lived this way for many, many years, and I will live this way for that many more.” He picked up the vial sitting on the table and gazed at the color, swirling it pensively. “One would think that between the funding and the white magic division, they would have figured out something by now.” He laughed congenially, no real annoyance behind the words.
“For now, it seems to be working, but in recent weeks it is growing less effective. Perhaps it would be best if it were changed soon.” He sighed, then uncorked the stopper and drained the vial in one sip. In an instant, his expression shifted--disgust in the wrinkle of his brow, horror in the scrunch of his shut eyelids, and nearly, in the shake of his shoulders, one could see him forcing himself to swallow it. “Now, the taste is a completely different story.”

“Okay, so... Gokotai... I understand, from what I have been told by... my partner, of sorts, saw you peeping. Watching us. Watching him, in particular, when he’s alone.” Rubbing at the back of his neck as a flush of red was tinting his cheeks, he glanced aside before turning his gaze back on the tantou. “How... How much did you see?”

It’s been a slow day for Midare. Though it can’t be helped, he’s finished the chores he was assigned to a few hours ago, and now he’s just trying to keep himself busy in their shared room until dinner. Preening himself, and reading some story books among other things. He’s even laid out his own futon so he can lay down while reading -- something that Ichigo would never approve, something about how one’s eyesight will go bad if they read while laying down.
Shoji door slides open, and the first ones to enter are tigers. Midare doesn’t need to take a proper look to find out who’d come back. “Gokotai~ Wanna read together?”

It wasn’t often that she took the tantous out with her, finding they were majority only useful when the teams were taking on closed spaces and evening battles. However, they did make good company on market trips. “Say, Gokotai, do you think this kimono suits me?” It was a vibrant red, gold, and orange kimono that had designs likely inspired by a phoenix with the way the fabric almost gleamed like fire in the sunlight. “I’m thinking of getting one in the case we have a festival... Just something small to celebrate our recent achievements.”

“Please, be at ease,” Mikazuki managed as he sat up and met Gokotai’s wet eyes. He laughed easily and reached for the other’s face. “Don’t cry now, I’m not dead yet... I’m not about to let a sudden case of creaky knees kill me.” Slowly he rose to his feet and offered Gokotai his hand. “The offensive must be resumed, my friend. Let us continue.”

The far back of the citadel was always a fascinating place to explore. The many rooms located in this area tend to be empty and largely unused, with occasional junk or old stuff popping up from time to time, probably stored there long ago before being forgotten by the occupants of this building.
Always the curious one, Yagen was walking around the area, inspecting and exploring each and every room he comes across. He wasn’t just here out of curiosity though. The tantou was looking for an ideal room where he can establish his personal study room, a room where he can do his own experiments and research in relative peace.
As the Toushirou walked around, his attention was quickly caught by the soft sounds of what sounded like crying. Child-like crying. Odd, he thought, as he was sure that people hardly came to this solitary area, let alone a child. But as he slowly followed the whimpering sounds to its source, he had a thought: maybe this child wanted to be alone, thus coming here.
This was... a cause for concern, which made Yagen quicken in pace as he closed in to the sound of the crying, soon bringing him to an unassuming room like the many others that filled this place, and slowly and softly opened its door. Once he looked inside, he quickly spotted a familiar-looking child with white hair, curled up in the corner of the room. “... Gokotai?”
