Timo Glock, however, is not making much of the Mercedes driver's words. In the Sky Sports DE broadcast , he attributes Russell's struggles primarily to a certain kind of stubbornness on the part of the Brit:
"If I am a step behind all weekend and realize that my teammate is running with a different differential setting, then I should try to see if that might work better after Friday or Saturday at the latest, not just in the last ten laps of the race on Sunday. I don't understand that approach."
Gotta be honest, I agree with Glock here. Because yes, engineers should not forget to tell you you’re in the wrong strat mode, but I suspect some of the crappy settings were also partially george’s fault or better, his stubborness regarding the differences in driving style between him and Kimi.
Knowing george’s personality (aquarius, man, they just love to make their own lives complicated ijbol), I could bet he was 100% he was in the right until he finally realized he wasn’t😭🤣 which is typical…
