It’s like pulling teeth trying to get the media to call white supremacists what they are.
Timothy Caughman was brutally stabbed and murdered in NYC by a white nationalist from MD. It was ruled an act of terror. It is a terrorist attack in Trump’s hometown.
Why no Trump/Sessions mention? A: victim was black, terrorist was white.
Instead of denouncing hate crime murder, Sean Spicer implied conservatives are the victims
During Monday's White House press briefing, press secretary Sean Spicer was asked point-blank to respond to last week's murder of 66-year-old Timothy Caughman, allegedly murdered by a white man who came to New York City specifically to kill black men.
Instead of soundly denouncing white supremacy and racism, Spicer seemed to evade the question, instead turning again and again back to the cases of hate crimes in which, he said, there was "an immediate jump to criticize folks on the right and to denounce people on the right." Racism , a chronic American Disease.
There was a time when White America could deny it’s nature. Now with the Trump administration in office, racism has become front and center. He made it apparent during his campaign that he did not fear the term bigot being attached to his name. The “new wave” for politicians is that of undeniable racism. No more are whites denying their racist ideologies. They have become obscenely bold. They say whatever comes to mind and spew discriminatory rhetoric without a filter. They do not care how you feel or think. The age of political correctness has died, with it has gone what little civility, manners or courtesy Americans had. Now rudeness, boorishness, racism, and hatred is once more becoming the norm. America is regressing to a time when it perceived itself as great, hence we “Make America Great Again”. Forgetting the stories of a time when Jim Crow laws ruled the land and black men, women and children were lynched for entertainment. However, in this regress, black men, women and children will not be lynched. Badges and uniforms take the place of white bed sheets as we are shot down by police.
In Syria we are fighting a war with ISIS but here African Americans now feel they are under siege from the white population. Recently I read of James Harris Jackson, a man who traveled from Maryland to New York with the goal of killing black people. He was successful. It is not known how many he has killed but one victim is for sure. Timothy Caughman was stabbed to death and left in the street as Jackson walked to a nearby restaurant to clean himself up. Even worse is the justice system. All over the country we hear the news of innocent unarmed black men, women, and children being shot, strangled, lynched by the police while going about their daily activities only to be stopped. Many were walking, talking on their mobile, driving, sitting in their cars, engrossed in play in a playground not being a threat to anyone. Yet their lives were brutally taken by a state sanctioned murderer with a badge. Is that law enforcement? Or have the police of the USA been given the green light to shoot and kill as many black folks as possible? The green light comes without the fear of consequence and sure acquittal. By allowing this, law enforcement devalues the importance of black life, simply because it is black. This is not very different from the south where white men committed crimes against black folks and got away with it. Robert Chambliss was one of the sole bombers in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing in 1964.It took the lives of four little girls yet he was not indicted until almost the end of his life, 15 years after. Everyone within the community knew he was the one responsible for their deaths yet the law allowed him to live to a ripe old age and arrested him days before he died to pacify the Black community.
There was once a belief that America had made progress with its racism. America ushered in civil rights and then in foreign countries we made demands for human rights based on civil rights. How hypocritical we are, demanding that other countries respect human rights and threatening them with attacks and interference we have no right making. Yet we treat out black population like they have no right to be alive, as if African Americans brought themselves onto this land. We are regressing back in time to allow America to be racist again.

Emergency Action: NYC Resists Hate Crimes
Say his name: Timothy Caughman! On Monday evening Timothy Caughman was stabbed to death with a sword by a white supremacist. On Wednesday evening the white supremacist admitted to traveling to NYC from Baltimore to kill a Black man because "New York is the media capital of the world". Tomorrow join us for an Emergency action to say Enough is Enough. NYC has seen a rise in hate crimes since President 45 was elected. Many communities have been attacked in the era of Trump from Muslims, Trans folks, Black people and the Jewish community. We say no. We must stand up for our city. We will march from Union Square to Midtown where the Timothy was killed and hold a moment of silence for him and other victims of Hate Crimes.
He now faces the possibility of a mandatory life sentence without parole.
The top charge against James Jackson, the 28-year-old Maryland man suspected of fatally stabbing 66-year-old Timothy Caughman with a sword last week, has been upgraded to first degree murder as an act of terrorism, over second degree murder as a hate crime. He now faces a mandatory life sentence without parole.
