i am a firm tim fell first and jackson fell harder believer‼️

tim is theoretically the one to confess first but he'd drag his feet about it and having to initiate stuff because he'd rather be the one get "courted" and all

a situation where jackson confesses and initiates first happens when hes like so forced into it

you know how couples have a honeymoon period at the beginning of the relationship when the feels are all new and high? yeah tim and storm have the opposite of that

they have the honeymoon phase wayyy later but at the start, its hard to picture each other as boyfriends-boyfriends which is why im a situationship believer

theyre like sooo on and off and its almost aways tim coming back first, sometimes its jackson when tim hokds out a little longer than he tends to but its usually tim

because the highs are high and the lows are low with them and with jackson, tim feels an emotional thrill and high he cant get anywhere else

literally one thing about treadstorm is no one pisses them off like they do each other. they're each other's special someones for pissing them off

and as much as tim hates jackson on many fundamental levels, he's one of the few people he can say that he's ok with the fact jackson doesn't like him which is HUGE for his people pleasing ass

and in the early situationship slash is this even official sort of phases in the relationship, tim feels a weird sense of ease with jackson because suddenly all the pressure to be likeable is off his shoulders

jackson however really craves an actual "real thing" with tim, like he really wants to be actually official. at least official enough to say the b-word (boyfriend) but he hated himself for even entertaining the thought, he thinks its stupid, no way tim would settle for him, etc. etc. and then he self sabotages

tim rarely think about making things official with jackson, if at all because its stupid, no way he should settle for jackson, etc. etc.

and more importantly, he sees being official boyfriends as coming with expectations and pressure unneeded in their current situationship like he already lets himself go a little with jackson because he doesn't care what he thinks like everyone else and doesn't think he can keep doing that if theyre official

and besides, their relationship is so volatile because jacksons so focused on winning in the relationship, he lost to tim once (more than once if you count the biggs thing) and he just needs to prove him wrong and win with him all the time

jackson took his one loss against tim so personally it dictates how he goes about their relationship while tim doesn't even count it because it was on a simulator

and i dont know if tim ever figures out thats why jackson feels the need to win all the time, he'll hate jackson for it either way, it's by far the thing he hated most about jackson

it just gets so exhausting on tims end because neither winning nor losing with jackson feel particularly good

so when tims etaliation isnt "leaving", it's starting another competition/arguement/just something to even the score because maybe this time, it'll stick and he'll win for good and fix everything and it wont be another hollow victory or another bitter loss

but there's nearly no real winning for either of them
