My take on explaining away the potholes between the first tinkerbell movie and Secret of the Wings.
Lord Milori isn't the Minister of Winter and is simply a high ranking winter fairy.
How come there were winter fairies present at Tink's birth/awakening? When becoming a Minister of a season, you get attributes related to that season, so the Minister of Winter gives off cold and therefore herself and her wings are safe.
By giving off cold, she enables those accompanying her to go into the warm seasons wwhile staying safe.
How did Clank, Bobble and Tink fly through winter in the first movie? They didn't, they were right on the border so simply looked like they were in the winter woods. Funky perspective.
These are my personal head cannons to deal with the plot holes. No I haven't read the books but I've heard the plot holes get even wider when taking them into consideration. This post is for your consideration, but if you don't like my head cannons, no sweat. Enjoy this franchise how you want to :)
