The first "happiest" memory Hook can recall is that of the first time he was ever on a boat. Imagine a five year old Captain happily running up and down the dock, waiting as his father readied the boat. Once the boat hit the open waters, there was no wiping the smile off his face. It was as if, even then as a five year old, Hook knew he found a place he'd always belong -- the ocean. When he eventually learned how to sail himself, it seemed almost innate. Of course, this also brings to mind one of Captain's worse memories -- the day his father sold their sailboat.
The second "happiest" memory of Hook's young life occurred a decade or so later. There was a girl, a girl who knew far too much about Captain -- and yet she still admired him, or so Hook thought (and still thinks). Yes, this girl was Tinkerbell. She was one of the first people Hook can remember being truly happy with, as friends. The happiest memory, however, comes from the night she took his virginity. As cliche as it sounds, it was special, for him at least. Hook will take this to the grave, though, and won't ever tell another person. Besides, this happy memory also makes him think of bad ones, like how Tinkerbell no longer wishes to speak to him because of that blasted Peter Pan.
Hook's third and happiest of memories also happens to be the most recent of the three. Ever since Peter became "family," Hook's life has seemed horrible. Hook was undoubtedly depressed, having lost most of his friends and a girl he was very attached too. However, all his "mates" showing their true colors revealed something -- who his first mate truly was. Smee is more than the Captain's best friend, and his happiest memory takes place again, at the docks of Disney. Smee knew how very sad Captain was and she surprised him one day with a boat on the docks. Smee, his little bubbly Soc friend, had actually helped steal a boat, for him. The two sailed all across the Disney Shore -- or at least as much as they could for a few hours. The wind stopped however just short of redocking the boat... and so the two had to swim to shore. Once they were on dry land again, the two broke down into laughter. Never had Hook felt so much adrenaline and for lack of a better word, fun. Boat joyrides are now among his favorite past times, and it's all thanks to a amazing first mate.
