It floats up to the surface from the deepest parts of the ocean, examining life on land. No one knows what information it gathers before returning to the water.

The probes at its sides act of their own accord, but the main body can see through their eyes. Some claim to have seen it swimming through the air miles away from any source of water.

Branchew - Walking Stick Pokémon

Type - Bug

Ability - Tinted Lens / Mimicry / Stakeout (Hidden)

Evolves into Carniflage at level 20.

Although it loves to eat eggs, it’s terrified of bird Pokémon. It disguises itself as a harmless twig to try to get close enough to strike.

Carniflage - Walking Nest Pokémon

Type - Bug

Ability - Tinted Lens / Mimicry / Stakeout (Hidden)

It lies in wait, pretending to be an abandoned nest so lazy bird Pokémon will lay their eggs on its back. Then it will suddenly dash away with its delicious prize.

Karroot - Root Pokémon

Type - Grass/Ground

Ability - Tinted Lens/Chlorophyll/Unnerve (Hidden)

Karroot burrows underground during the day, exposing only its leaves to absorb sunlight. At night, it unearths itself and crawls along the ground, searching for sources of fresh water. Its strange-looking eyes are extremely powerful, giving it perfect vision even when it’s pitch-black outside. Eating its skin causes you to glow a faint orange for several days, discouraging predators.

Kerratic - Root Beast Pokémon

Type - Grass/Ground

Ability - Tinted Lens/Chlorophyll/Unnerve (Hidden)

Evolves from Karroot at level 38.

Kerratic’s eyes are developed enough to see through solid objects. This allows it to dig up plants growing under the soil or spot hunters trying to ambush it. For some reason, it’s highly aggressive towards anything that it believes is trying to hide from it, so when approaching one, you should make yourself as big and obvious as possible. It sometimes appears to react to stimuli that no one else can see.

Scholarva- Page Pokémon

Ability- Technician/Tinted Lens/Analytic (Hidden)

Scholarva’s body is thin, but it grows quickly and thus must molt its skin often. It preserves this shed skin on its back, where it quickly becomes pressed into layers. It uses this skin mostly for building nests or shelters, or even bridges when necessary, but ancient humans would harvest it and use it as material on which to write. They are fascinated by humans and often gather in libraries to watch them.

Intellibee- Writing Pokémon

Type- Bug/Flying

Ability- Technician/Tinted Lens/Analytic (Hidden)

Evolves from Scholarva when levelled up with Unown in the party.

Intellibee has a curious, mutualistic relationship with Unown. Unown are for some reason drawn to Intellibee’s wings and will attach to them en masse, and in exchange for shelter and protection they will use their strange powers to strengthen their host, granting Intellibee the great brainpower for which they are known. Skilled individuals can even engage in simple conversations with humans by writing down words with the black liquid released from their stingers.
