Fic Update!
Chapter 2 of “Tiny Body, Big Heart” is now up on Ao3!
NEW FIC!
@eveisevenworse and I have a the first chapter of a new fic, entitled “Tiny Body, Big Heart”, up on Ao3!
imagine tiny tony from california totally unused to massachusetts weather and rhodey forces him to get actually winter clothes other than like, hoodies. RHODEY WRAPPING TONY UP IN A BIG FLUFFY SCARF and tony sticking his cold fingers against rhodey's skin. Tony getting super excited to see and actually PLAY IN SNOW (because howard would never have let him). snowball fights!! snow angels! Cuddling together under a blanket in rhodey's dorm room with hot chocolate!!!
OMG this is so FREAKIN’ ADORABLE! I imagine tiny!Tony always forgets to put on scarves and gloves and he’ll be too proud to admit that his jacket’s too thin for this weather cause he’s not supposed to have weaknesses. But Rhodey’s patient with him and he buys tiny!Tony the fluffiest winter clothes in his favourite colours. tiny!Tony’s so fascinated by them he can’t stop petting the fabric and of course he wears them with pride- though nothing beats his War Machine themed sweater.
Rhodey teaches tiny!Tony how to make snowballs, the soft ones that can still be thrown but don’t hurt when you’ve hit something. He regrets that decision when tiny!Tony uses those same balls against him but the tiny!Tony looks up at him, cheeks flushed and eyes wide and stuck somewhere between pride and horror and he can’t do anything but ruffle the kid’s hair (Rhodey still needs to buy that hat) and praise his aim.
Once tiny!Tony gets a bit more used to the awesomeness that is snow he goes all out of course: Rhodey has to help him build a snowman and a snowwoman and a snowsuperhero. They make snow angels until their coats are soaked and tiny!Tony’s often running around outside with his mouth wide open, trying to catch a snowflake.
tiny!Tony’s (and Rhodey’s) favourite part though is when they get back inside and Rhodey helps him out of the soggy clothes and into one of Rhodey’s sweatshirts that’s way too big and so comfy and fluffy socks. He gets homemade hot chocolate with marshmallows which tiny!Tony’s never had before and sometimes they eat baked apples or brownies. Then they cuddle themselves together in front of the TV, Rhodey makes sure that tiny!Tony’s completely covered in soft blankets, and hugs the kid close to himself while they argue over which show to watch. They always end up grinning so hard tiny!Tony’s sure it should hurt but it never does.
Tony sniffled as he sat on the stairs, cradling his scrapped elbow. He swipped at some tears and quickly turned his attention back to his injury as he worried what his mother would say when she saw his torn and stained shirt. He didn’t bother worrying out Howard; he hadn’t broken anything so the man wouldn’t care.
“Master Stark, are you well?” the 3 year old looked up to see Edwin Jarvis tugging up his trousers before kneeling down and gently reaching out to inspect the wound.
“I fell,” he sniffed, trying not to hiss when Jarvis’ touch made his scrape burn. A frown creased Jarvis’ forehead before he stood up, offered his hand and calmly escorted Tony into the quarters he shared with Ana.
“Ana, darling, we are in need of your services,” Edwin called out as he picked Tony up and sat him on the kitchen counter. Little Stark watched as Ana slipped into the kitchen, took one look at the situation and began issuing orders.
“The first aid kit please, Mr. Jarvis,” she said, offering Tony a comforting smile as she helped him out of his shirt. Tony tried to keep a stiff upper lip, but couldn’t help the little squeak of pain as the fabric brushed against his scrape. “It only hurts for a little,” she assured him with a gentle smile. Tony sniffed again as Edwin returned and began to lay out supplies. He cried out when she dabbed at his elbow with the iodine and let himself melt into her embrace as she hugged the pain away.
“Mother’s gonna be mad,” Tony said in a quiet voice as Ana finished with his bandage. “My shirt got torn and I bleeded on it.”
“Bled on it,” Jarvis commented, rather absentmindedly as he inspected the damaged garment. “A touch of hydrogen peroxide will take care of the stain,” he said, offering Tony a small grin.
“And I will mend it, good as new,” Ana assured him as she swept his hair aside and dropped a kiss on his forehead. “For now, come help me finish.” Ana swept the boy onto her hip and gave him a squeeze before leading him over to her half finished cookie dough.

Later, as Tony sat on Ana’s lap, he worked up the courage to ask a question that he’d been holding back for months.
“How come you and Mr. Jarvis don’t have kids?” Little Stark frowned a little when he saw the look that fell over Ana’s face, worried that he had hurt her and ruined his welcome in their home.
“Because we have you,” she told him.
m!A: Tony is now just as tiny as little Steve was and is afflicted with all the same illnesses.
