I want to see a fic of Dog, retired hound of Hell now in a wee package, being taken to the vet. I want to read about the epic battle of a routine blood draw. I want to know how many techs have to get involved. I want to know the terror Dog rains upon them while Adam waits casually in the lobby. I want to see the carnage of war, and then I want to see their shellshocked faces as Dog trots back out to Adam like a Good Boy.

listen, mulder has his mission, but scully is on a mission from god.

she has hunted demons and borne witness to angels. she has seen miracles, protected the chosen, and been called upon to fulfill the will of god on earth. she has had prophetic visions and visitations. she has looked the devil in the eye and kicked his fucking ass.

even outside of the episodes that deal explicitly with religion, we see her called again and again to fight against evil and stand up for the innocent and voiceless.

if this was just a little bit of a different show, if cc's view of religion was more "warrior of light" and less "madonnas and martyrs," scully would be out there with a holy blade holstered next to her sig.
