Replanted the Christmas tree today. Each year we buy a sapling/tiny tree to decorate then, once Christmas is over, we drive it out to the woods to replant it with its native tree types. I’m not sure why I’ve never considered just potting it within the garden to bring inside and reuse before, but now I have! Here’s hoping it survives to this Christmas, so we can bring it back inside to decorate it again.
The sack of compost was too cumbersome for me to lift and pour into the planter without making a huge mess of the rockery, and Max has made such a mess of the shed that I couldn’t find my gardening tools, so I did all of this with my bare hands. Looked like I’d clawed my way out of my own grave by the time I was finished, which was pretty sick!
