So, I was trying to see what would happen if I traced a real-life white tiger, and then I was held at gunpoint to make a tiny Dazai. So..
Tedahhhh jgashfbog (send help)
I like to imagine when Tiny!Dazai wants to be vored he won't tell Chuuya like a normal human being because that's embarrassing.
Instead he will try to make himself look 'appetizing.'
Bro wouldn't want to be swallowed with food or anything, but he would 100% lay on a piece of bread posing and wait for Chuuya to see him and take the bait like 'look at me I'm such a snack!'
It's an idea that I have that I don't know if I will ever get around to writing, but I think it would be really fun to explore if I ever get enough free time.
ADA!Prey!Dazai x Beast!Pred!Chuuya :)
So Dazai is sent from his world to the Beast world. I love this trope in fanfiction, but I'm also a g/t vore lover so let's mix it up. Rewind.
Dazai is sent to the Beast world.
Beast Chuuya (who will now be dubbed just Chuuya) has been running on autopilot for a few weeks now. No one dares to look him in the eye as he walks past; he hasn't been seen once outside his office for longer than the trip home. And those who whisper he is just depressed, grieving, disappear the next day, never to be seen again.
It isn't a truth he is willing to admit. The man he claimed to despise, who he swore would be killed by his own hand... who he has guarded and been the right hand man of for YEARS, side by side, half of Soukoku, has suddenly left him alone to run the Port Mafia by himself. All that Dazai gave him was a red scarf he didn't ask for and no time to grieve because of the weight that crushed him from Day One. Chuuya has had no time to come to terms with Dazai dying and not being able to save him. In the end, the only thing he has had time to come to conclude is that Dazai has selfishly left him behind in a world he did not want to reign over.
So, like any other day, he enters the office that is now his own, left to his own devices, stalking up to the desk he is so used to standing beside, not sitting behind.
Unlike any other day, though, he sees something that makes him do a double take. Pause to make sure he isn't dreaming.
And surely he has to be going insane from all this stress?
Because there, on the middle of his desk, is a Dazai that is no more than three inches tall.
His first thought is that it is a doll made by someone with a sick sense of humor. Chuuya doesn't know any better since its eyes are closed and laying motionless on the desk.
His second thought upon closer inspection is that the person who made this doll clearly didn't do their research. The bandages don't cover his eye, his clothes are too bright compared to the Mafia black Dazai always wore. It's as if they made a doll of a Dazai that could've been. It makes him nauseous.
Then Dazai wakes up, and they both freak out.
After they both calm down, and realize it is reality, Chuuya learns this is a Dazai from a world where Dazai leaves the Port Mafia and leads a life in the light (and leaves him, he bitterly thinks). Dazai learns about how Chuuya is the boss after the previous boss died. Chuuya doesn't admit it, but Dazai can piece together the previous boss was himself, and for whatever reason he is out of the picture (he can take another good guess).
Dazai is coming to terms with the fact he appears to be stuck at three inches tall. This is jarring to anyone, but for Dazai, who cherishes his independency, he is left to trust Chuuya, a Chuuya he doesn't exactly know. In a world he doesn't know.
Chuuya tries to push past the resentment he has for Beast Dazai, and while a secret part of him is taking a sick satisfaction in this forced vulnerability, he still loves Dazai along with hating him, and so he reassures the best he can that he will help Dazai and try to find ways to give him autonomy.
He asks Dazai before he picks him up, he puts little latter's and bridges between furniture, he lets Dazai do things by himself without assistance until he asks for it. Things he thinks Dazai will need will be set out on tables and counters so Dazai has free access.
(And Chuuya has enough money to get custom miniature items without anyone batting an eye as long as he tips enough. Books? Pen and paper? It's difficult to find businesses that do that, but if the boss of the Port Mafia tells you to do something for a hefty reward, you usually will).
It is not perfect by any means, and Dazai constantly waits for the other shoe to drop, but he appreciates this Chuuya is willing to help him, so he agrees to playing house for now.
Everyday is the same routine. Chuuya wakes up, Dazai and him get ready, and then they both go to the Port Mafia headquarters. Dazai is always hidden in either Chuuya's red scarf or in his breast pocket when outside.
When the doors are locked in the office, Dazai lays on Chuuya's folded up coat on the desk, watching Chuuya do work, playing on Chuuya's phone, or being a menace however he can.
Chuuya unfortunately is getting too comfortable with this routine. He appreciates how open this Dazai is, the way this Dazai doesn't mind laughing and smiling. He likes to pick Dazai's mind on how he would handle specific issues. It gives Dazai something to do and stimulate his mind, and it lets Chuuya know how he should proceed.
It's... nice.
...He didn't even feel this comfortable with his Dazai.
Chuuya knows this isn't his Dazai, he hasn't deluded himself to that point, but this is still a Dazai. All Dazai's are similar, right? Even Kouyou has said that Chuuya seems to have finally worked through all of his grief, and that she's happy he is moving on and visibly happier.
He will take what he can get.
But even if Chuuya promises to help, its clear he isn't being fast about it. Time goes on, and Dazai realizes that Chuuya hasn't brought up helping him get back to his world anymore, doesn't mention ability users that can help, or theories for being brought here. He becomes more closed off, cold, slowly resenting how Chuuya is treating him more like a glorified pet than a person.
Its definitely clear in the Chuuya's actions now. Chuuya has become more handsy than he originally was, thinking he has the ok now and holding Dazai and laying him on Chuuya's chest as they relax at home like its a birthright. The original independence he was given is slowly being whittled away at a pace where Dazai didn't put a stop to it fast enough. Not letting Dazai do anything too strenuous because Chuuya has been traumatized by Beast Dazai's death and is worried anything will break this Dazai that is already compromised with how small he is. He is always at most six feet away if Dazai is near a ledge, never leaves out pills or alcohol that can send Dazai into an early grave.
As g/t lovers, we all know there is a FINE line between helpful and stifling. Chuuya crossed it long ago.
It's too much coddling.
At one point, Dazai just snaps. A straw that broke the camels back. He was too close to the edge of the desk for Chuuya's liking and was nudge back to the middle without Chuuya even looking up from signing a paper.
It isn't a smart move to make Chuuya mad and he knows that, especially if he plans to find help elsewhere without Chuuya knowing, but damnit he is losing his mind. He hates being this small. He hates relying on Chuuya for everything. He wants to go home and lets Chuuya know such. Now Chuuya is mad, and he snaps too. Dazai refuses to let fear take root in him where a man over twenty times his size slams his hands on the desk and yells at him how much safer he is with him and that he'll get used to it.
Dazai acquiesces for now, and Chuuya sees the conversation as over and believes that Dazai is accepting this warped domestic life now.
However, that night while Chuuya is asleep, Dazai tries to escape, to find the ADA, to figure it out himself, something that actually yields progress.
He doesn't even make it to the edge of the bed before Chuuya catches him (which surprises Dazai because he was completely silent).
Chuuya loses his shit, and Dazai is seeing how much of a power imbalance there is between them that Chuuya never utilized to its full extent. He's not used to not having the upper hand when it comes to Chuuya, and he's afraid it made him more vulnerable.
Chuuya's mind is tearing at the seems, trying to figure out how even when he thinks he did everything right, why does this Dazai want to leave him as well? What has he done that makes Dazai want to leave?
And he is breaking down with Dazai still in his hand, who has front row seats to how much Beast Dazai wrecked Chuuya's psyche.
Chuuya's best idea? Keep Dazai in a place he can't leave without Chuuyas help for a bit until Dazai gets this out of his system.
The last time Dazai sent him away, he killed himself.
And sure, a cage works, one with an overhead lock Dazai couldn't hope to reach, but then he wouldn't be close to Chuuya. No, Chuuya wants to keep him close.
So he does what any rational person would do and swallows Dazai.
No preamble, no warning. Dazai learns very quickly he HATES it. He is now even more trapped, and this time he can't lockpick, sneak, or charm his way out of it. This is more than stifling, Chuuya is everywhere around him.
Chuuya is living on cloud nine. It instantly improves his mood for the day. He is happy knowing that Dazai is the closest he can ever be to him, that he is ALWAYS with Chuuya no matter what. He can't have a two way conversation with Dazai, but he still has his presence and undivided attention, and that's enough for him.
He does still talk to Dazai even if he doesn't expect an answer back. He doesn't want to bore Dazai to death.
People whisper that the boss has lost his mind.
Dazai is living in a gilded cage. Treated lavishly by this Chuuya who will do anything to keep him safe. If he thought it was bad before, then he is now in maximum security. He is never alone, even when outside Chuuya. The gifts get more frequent. The best clothes (all in mafia black and red to resemble Beast Dazai now), furniture, and any luxuries he can buy. Anything to show Dazai his devotion.
Chuuya assures Dazai he has no worries but to keep him company. It's a calm life, if a little demeaning.
But a cage is still a cage, and Dazai hates feeling trapped.
Any time Dazai tries to attempt to escape or kill himself to leave this hellish world, Chuuya will just swallow him and keep Dazai with him for the day. It's the only way to make Chuuya not paranoid about Dazai's future.
Chuuya isn't a monster like Dazai likes to say on the worst days; he does feel guilt. It's most prevalent when he can feel Dazai rioting inside him, wanting to vent his frustrations on Chuuya just to let him know he isn't ok with this arrangement. But Chuuya sees it as a necessary evil. One day he might not resort to this as often if Dazai calms down, he just needs to give it time.
Now one would think that Chuuya would worry about having Dazai inside of him, where No Longer Human cancels out his ability. Even if Chuuya cannot use For the Tainted Sorrow with Dazai inside him, no one knows that. Dazai, after all, is dead. There is no one who can stop his ability now. And who would want to go against the Port Mafia Boss to begin with?
No matter Dazai's willpower, he gets desensitized to it all eventually.
This whole idea is based on obsession. How obsessed Chuuya is with this Dazai he can keep to himself. How Chuuya doesn't want to let him go. How he wants to keep Dazai unreasonably close. He will always be Dazai's shield, even if Dazai doesn't necessarily want him to be.
