For October's last Freelancer Friday, I thought it'd be fitting to take you on one last tiny tour of my office!
It’s funny how the smallest details make up the biggest parts of a story—like how a handful of tiny collectibles can make an eccentric office feel whole.
This past month, I did something I’ve never done before: I opened up my world and shared small parts of myself in ways that once would’ve had me shaking in my boots—and I won’t lie, the soles were a little wobbly at times.
I added to my repertoire, learning to edit silly videos and make mediocre animations. I honed my craft by challenging myself to write something new each week. But most importantly, I started to believe my work was worth sharing, posting pieces that were never meant to see the light of day.
When I started this journey, I didn’t know what I was doing (and honestly, I often still don’t)... but I’m doing it. It may seem insignificant—sharing prose poetry, writing prompts, and goofy videos—but those are just the small details. For me, they’re the ink composing something bigger than my fears, doubts, or hesitations. And it’s those tiny parts, those small details, that make the story worth writing.
I know this is terribly introspective for a video about knick-knacks, but I couldn’t help feeling sentimental as I post this—officially completing my first month of this new journey.
Thank you for following along, especially if you’ve read this far. I appreciate you more than you know—and I can’t wait to write the next chapter with you. 💙
