The darkness embraces your room, but you can see the brilliance of his iris. And to feel him so close, his touches, his sent, it makes your head spin. He keeps looking at you, tracing the features of your face with his glance as he bends over to seal his lips to yours, for good.

His touch is quite strong, almost desperate as if he wanted to be sure that you were there, against him. He moves away from you before returning back, gently passing the pulp of his fingers over your cheekbones [...]

Eivor and her dark sense of humor...

“So…then she says, ‘this wasn’t the sword I was referring to!’” Kassandra slaps her knee and the table roars with laughter.

“Once…I accidentally set a house of cats on fire and told the lady her cats were alive.” Eivor lets out a hearty laugh as the table stares at her unsure whether they should laugh anyway.

The Avengers + Their Favorite Christmas Song

Steve Rogers - The Christmas Song (Nat King Cole) 

Steve loves this song because it is such a classic and even though it isn’t everyone’s favorite, everyone knows it and he has never met anyone who doesn't like it. It reminds him of the 40′s, which is nice because he always feels kind of out of place around the holidays. 

Tony Stark - Do They Know It’s Christmas? (Band Aid)

Tony likes this song for a few reasons - one, because it slaps so hard in general, and two because it doesn’t sound like a Christmas song at all, something that he thinks is a nice change from all of the other popular holiday songs. He secretly is so excited for the day after Thanksgiving each year because that means that he gets to listen to this song all he wants and not have to explain himself to anyone because ‘what? It’s a Christmas song!’ and he is ‘just trying to get in the spirit’

Bucky Barnes - White Christmas (Bing Crosby)

Similar to Steve, Bucky likes this song because it reminds him of the 40′s and the Christmases that he celebrated with his family in their home in Brooklyn. One Christmas in particular, it had snowed, making it a white Christmas. Bucky spent nearly the whole day out in the snow, throwing snowballs, sledding, building forts, playing with his friends and family. It is one of his fondest memories of what his life used to be, and this song reminds him of it. 

Sam Wilson - Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree (Brenda Lee)

Sam loves this song because his mother loved this song. She used to play the song on her record player every time the decorated the tree, baked cookies together, wrapped presents - really anything having to do with Christmas. It makes him laugh that she loved the song so much because whenever the church ladies asked, she always told them that her favorite Christmas song was ‘Mary, Did You Know?’

Peter Parker - Blue Christmas (Elvis Presley)

Peter is secretly a huge Elvis fan, so that is one reason that he really enjoys the song. The other reason is because Aunt May plays it on her old record player and makes him dance around the living room with her as part of their Christmas traditions. They have been doing it for as long as he can remember, and she used to let him stand on her feet and they would waddle around their small apartment living room singing it to each other. 

Wanda Maximoff - Mistletoe and Holly (Frank Sinatra)

This song makes Wanda think of the ‘perfect’ family - suburban, well-off, 2.4 kids and a white picket fence - so of course she loves everything about it. Wanda loves this song because it makes her feel happy and hopeful for the future - she looks forward to a time when she can celebrate Christmas with her family and not have to worry about anything else other than hanging mistletoe’s in every doorway and perfecting her homemade cranberry sauce recipe.

One traditional way of demoralizing a rival sports team is to steal their mascot before a game. Headcanon that rival Kohli teams would frequently “kidnap” Pohatu by inviting him to parties or have their own Toa bring him on “urgent” missions just before the game.

kenzi kept her aunt ludmina’s samovar and keeps it in the clubhouse. she insists that for new years eve they stand outside in the snow and use it properly, because its one of the few memories she has of her childhood where she didn’t actively hate her mom.  since they can’t exactly get tetyorki or other biscuits on short notice, she usually drinks her tea strong with those little hostess chocolate rolls.  she peels off the outer layer of chocolate coating and eats that first, though.
