And just like that, after 7 hours, we’ve gone from nothing to something. It’s a first draft that’s not finished. We’re not sold on the table, we’re talking about just extending the counter top to have a bar there over the wheel well instead. We spent a lot of time throwing out ideas, talking about what a day in our life looks like, what we do when we have friends over, what we do after dinner when everything is put away and we’re unwinding. We measured out how big the kitchen is to make sure it’s crafted perfectly for me. We didn’t get much past the stairs. The whole living room area is untouched, but not undiscussed. We got through the first draft of the kitchen and bathroom and I’m super pumped. Absolutely every inch is planned for. We haven’t even fully gotten through plans for storage in each of these spaces yet! There’s so much to go into this. We have homework to do before we meet again on Saturday before I go to work, then again on Sunday after I get out. Now that we’re really planning it’s definitely starting to feel like another job. Most of our time outside of work is devoted to our tiny. I’m not complaining, it’s totally worth it. There are times when it gets tense and you have to communicate every idea and feeling fully because every decision that we makes changes our options for the next decision. We can’t wait to keep working, but right now we can’t wait to sleep 😴

I got absolutely nothing done today for project 333. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Flore, by La Maison Qui Chemine (the house that travels) is the coziest little French tiny house.

Isn’t this pretty? I like the way it’s lit. The bedroom is above the kitchen.

Malissa and Chris Tack designed and built The Tiny Tack House, which was their primary residence for 4 yrs. Now, they rent it out on AirBnB. It’s small, but the storage they built into it is amazing.

The living area is comfortably roomy.

The built a clothes closet under the loft. You don’t see many tiny houses with closets.

The table folds down when not in use.

There’s a lot of storage in the kitchen.

They even managed to fit in a desk area.

Cozy loft.

And, finally, a full bath. Well planned design.

The Highland tiny house was built according to the owners’ specifications. They wanted a thatched roof (it’s a synthetic material, though), stucco, cedar shakes, and board & batten on the exterior.
