We were never meant to live life accumulating stuff. We were meant to live simply enjoying the experiences of life, the people of life, and the journey of life - not the things of life.

Customizing minimalism to your needs:
My current rule is that I only keep things that either have a use or are sentimental items. Some people don’t keep sentimental items. Its all up to you to customize minimalism to your needs. Don’t feel like you need to get rid of things you don’t want to.
Making progress 🌱😃
Why Minimalism?
Save Money- In the beginning it may seem as though you are spending heaps of money but by the end you will be saving more than you know
Stress Free-This can help save you lots of stress because minimalist livin’ is simple livin’
Clutter-less-The whole reason for becoming a minimalist is to declutter your life, your house and your mind.
Environmentally Friendly- If you choose to go full out and become a true minimalist, your way of living could have a helpful effect on the environment.
Freedom- More time to do the things you love rather than stress about life
Quality Possessions- Quality over Quantity is a huge part of this life style
Aesthetically Pleasing- Your house and wardrobe will become visually pleasing
More Time- To spend with kids, friends, family, to workout, start a hobby, learn a language, the possibilities are endless
Healthier Mind and Body- You will have more time and money to put in to help better yourself
These are just some of the countless ways minimalism is a great way of life. While its not for everyone, the few who do brave the process will be rewarded in time.
Our path to minimalism is a long, hard one to walk and I think I'm a little more excited about getting rid of all of our stuff than Erik is, but we're both equally excited for the outcome!
I think I should try the gratitude journal! That'll be my next step!
